After the Backstreet Boys release their eighth album this summer, Nick Carter will go solo once more. But not for a solo album, for a personal book of memoirs!
Nick is currently working on a book, titled Facing The Music And Living To Talk About It. It’s currently set to be released this fall!
As the title insinuates, the book deals with some pretty heavy stuff. While there will be plenty of fun stories about his time at the peak of his BSB fame, there will also be stories of woe.
Nick will delve into family burdens, substance abuse, and
Nick Carter, of Backstreet Boys fame, is teaming with Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment to shop his very own half-hour docu-series around, a reality show that has already garnered interest from cable networks!!
This of course coincides with the Boys' 20th anniversary. We've been discussing this with you for quite some time now, and now not only do we get to look forward to their new album, In A World Like This (July 30), we get THIS reality series!!
The show will revolve around Nick as he prepares for his wedding with Lauren Kitt. We'll also get to see him do his best to make amends with the past, i.e. DRAAAMAAAAA!!

And as fun as the original BB tune is, we are definitely digging Charli XCX's slower, softer edition.
The We Can’t Stop singer interviewed with Rolling Stone magazine for their July 4th issue, and revealed her fairly liberal thoughts on drugs and alcohol.
Given her stoner reputation, we’re not totally surprised. Though, when asked to clarify her penchant for weed, she said:
"You can't ask someone that and expect them to say yes... I did a song with Snoop Dogg called 'Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,' so people can put it together for themselves."
That sounds fairly straightforward to us. Mileybird then went ahead to state that she thinks there are things much, much worse than a little bit of the green stuff:
"I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana -- people can be mad at me for saying that, but I don't care... I've seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I've never seen that happen with weed."
She added:
"As long as it isn't illegal, there are far more dangerous things. And it's legal in the state of California. So I'm happy to live in California, a place where you can be whoever you want to be."
Well, Miley, marijuana isn’t exactly legal in California unless you have a prescription, so we’re not entirely sure what you mean. But, okay...
As for her transition from Disney teen idol to mature pop star, she said:
