We guess this is a compromise?
After being denied by the courts to appear as a cast member on the UK's Celebrity Big Brother, Boy George is taking on a different role in the house.
The Big Brother bosses are allowing Boy George a cameo appearance as he will be setting some of the tasks for the housemates.
The show premiered last night with 11 housemates as the 12th was reserved for George. A source reveals:
"Bosses had big plans for George and they're not willing to abandon them lightly. They were keen to see how he and Alex [Reid, Jordan's ex-boyfriend] got on. It would have been interesting to see if they dressed up together. He's a great character and we're thrilled he's keen to be involved."
Boy George hinted at this on his Twitter last week tweeting:
"I still may do something on CBB, I just won't be in it."
But is he getting paid? Because we thought that was the problem the courts had with the whole thing?

After begging a judge to appear on the Brit version of Celebrity Big Brother a judge has denied Georgie's request.
But, George is determined to get that $320,000 paycheck because his rep Alison MacDonald said the desperate "internationally renowned singer-sonwriter and DJ" would be challenging the decision.
The rep says the attention seeker is being punished by not allowing him to appear on the show and is undermining the public's confidence in the justice system.
Riiight.
The Probabtion Services think otherwise and believe allowing Boy George to make a paid TV appearance would undermine the public's confidence, not the other way around!
Time to find another way to whore yourself out!

He's desperate!
Boy George is begging the judge to alter his probation terms so he can appear on Celebrity Big Brother in the UK and get that fat check for $320,000!
He was in jail from January 2009 to May 2009 for false imprisonment and assault of a male escort back in 2007. He was released on probation if he agreed to "approved" work where a probation officer can visit him.
The singer's appearance on the show would undoubtedly breach the license terms, so he is awaiting the judge's decision.
Channel 4 wants George on the show with a spokesperson saying that, "We respect what the Probation Service has said but if George is free, we'd love to have him."

You'd think after spending some time in jail earlier this year, the last thing Boy George would want to do is get locked up in another place.
But for some reason, he's about to do that.
According to reports, Boy George is getting ready to appear in the UK's Celebrity Big Brother.
Previously, George had turned down several offers to appear on the show. But, now, the 48-year-old is ready to join the last series.
He's got bills to pay!
And, according to sources, George will be receiving £200,000 (about $330k!) for his appearance, which might explain why he's doing the show.

Boy George was in a shitload of trouble - including jail time - after he handcuffed a male escort in his East London apartment back in 2007.
Well, some good news for the bad boy. The singer was released from prison this morning, Monday.
Boy served just four months of his 15-month sentence.
And, jail seems to have done him lots of good!
The former fatty actually looks pretty healthy and much better now than he did entering jail.
George's good behavior in jail got him an early release, but he'll still need to wear an ankle monitoring bracelet, stick to a curfew, and report to his probation officer.

Jade Goody's widowed husband, Jack Tweed, had a little run-in with former '80s pop musician Boy George in the jailhouse showers.
And not just one run-in, but a couple, all of which involved nudity and caused the jailbird to flee.
A source said, "Jack isn’t exactly the most comfortable person when it comes to getting attention from other men. As soon as he saw Boy George was standing there naked having a wash he was gobsmacked…. He grew up listening to George’s records but never imagined the first time he met him he would be stark naked in a prison shower."
