The Columbian singer Juanes has made sure to calm fans' worries about the rumor of a severe depression leading him to take a few years off from music and performing.
He claims that all he wanted was a month or two to spend some time with his family!
It looks like the rumor was started by his recently canned manager Fernan Martinez. Boo!
Here's what Juanes had to say:
"Now more than ever it is clear that my life is and will be about music forever, together with my family. There is nothing that makes me happier than playing the guitar and singing for my fans on stage. It's a blessing and what has always saved me."
That's good news! We're definitely glad to hear the opposite of what your ex-manager had to say. Shame on him for saying any of that, because depression is not something to mess around with!
Enjoy your time off, and say hi to the fam for us. Keep up with the music, and we'll keep listening!
Here's some happy news (to take a break from all the dreary Chrianna updates)!
Latin singing sensation Juanes and his wife, Karen Martinez, are expecting a child.
This will be the couple's third!
The Colombian singer's rep has confirmed the happy news.
Their spokeswhore said, “Yes, Karen and Juanes are extremely happy to be expecting their third child. Karen will be taking time off from all acting offers and Juanes plans to likewise cease touring and spend the next several months at home with his family while also beginning the early creative process on music for his next album."
It's nice to see stars using their fame and money for good.
One such artist is Latinolicous Juanes.
Juanes is joining fellow rocker/humanitarian Bono and several other artists in Japan to help take a stand against world poverty.
He is taking part in two concerts while visiting overseas to support the "One For All Demonstration" which is tied to the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD).
He'll be playing concerts in Tokyo and Osaka.
Earlier today, the concert took place under rain and winds while Juanes joined Bono and other musicians on stage.
The goal is to remind the government about keeping its promise to help people living in poverty.
And it looks like the Japanese have become Juanes fans, as his his single Me Enamora is a Top-5 hit on the radio there. He's singing in Spanish!
The Luxor headlining illusionist was recorded having quite the verbal altercation with Joe Monti, one of his magic producers on Wednesday, during which Angel is heard threatening to knock him out - and now he's had a police report filed against him!
Give it a listen (above)!
Furthermore, Monti later said to authorities that he recorded the meeting because Angel has a history of bullying employees!
He explains:
“I wanted him to know how demeaning he was. I created 50-60 percent of the magic for ‘Mindfreak.' I have no reason to do anything vindictively but I draw the line on violence.”
