Manny Pacquiao Once Again Proves He's NOT An Ally For The LGBT Community

Just when we thought Manny Pacquiao couldn't be any worse…

Earlier this week, the famed boxer/Philippine Senator spoke out against an anti-discrimination legislative proposal which is slated to protect the rights of transgender individuals. Not to mention, the document is also meant to help prevent discrimination against those who are cross-dressers in the Philippines. So, why does Manny have a problem with this piece of potential legislation??

Apparently, Pacquiao simply doesn't support Senate Bill 1271's mission to eliminate discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression. The controversial athlete turned politician noted:

For those of you not familiar with El Lay, The Grove is a massive, crazy popular shopping center in Tinseltown close to major production studios and often frequented by celebs.

You may have seen it on every episode of Extra!

Now there's going to be one less celeb there though — because boxer Manny Pacquiao has been BANNED!

The shopping center banished the pro athlete due to his recent "statements of hatred" about gay people, according to media reports.

Of course, Pacquiao has come under fire for recent anti-gay remarks, last month saying same-sex marriage is "worse than animals."

Pacquiao got into major trouble for those comments at the time, and after he went to The Grove earlier this week to shop, the center's owners

Talk about a step in the right direction!

While Adidas made history this past week by vowing to never fire a spokesperson if they come out of the closet, it looks like Nike has decided to make a move towards equality of their own.

That's because after Manny Pacquiao's controversial statement that gay people are worse than animals, we're hearing the athletic apparel company is about to cut ties with the MMA fighter!

Apparently, Nike doesn't want to associate themselves with such a homophobic athlete, even if he is at the top of his field! YAY!!!

But if you're not going to take our word for it, Manny's Gym Training line has already been removed from the website entirely — though for now he is still on their Instagram page…

This… isn't much of an apology, Manny.

Manny Pacquiao had a bit of a controversy on his hands on Monday when he called homosexuals worse than animals while campaigning for a spot in the Philippines government.

And while he clearly upset a lot of his LGBT supporters, it doesn't look like he's too bothered by the hate.

The 37-year-old issued a public apology for his comment early Tuesday morning, but he actually does more harm than good, saying:
