This is so sad.
Marion Cotillard News Archive
We were REALLY hoping that Marion Cotillard would make a sartorial comeback at the Waltz With Monica premiere held during the Marrakech International Film Festival on Wednesday.
Though it looks like it just wasn't meant to be!
And then to make matters worse, Marion styled her outfit with black mesh pumps, which looked awkward with her vibrant frock.
It's such a shame, too, because she did such a bangin' job with her hair and makeup!!
What do U think???

We thought florals were supposed to be fresh!
Between a floral bodice and black tulip skirt layered over a cream, cutout pencil skirt, the brunette beauty's Dior Haute Couture left us overwhelmed.
Especially when paired with Marion’s houndstooth clutch, which looks totes out of place!
Luckily, the gorge actress stuck with a simple pair of Dior peep-toes to round out her look.
And while Marion didn't get it completely wrong, we can't help but feel a tad disappointed.

Her colorful print, strapless bubble dress featured a voluminous cape-like addendum at the back, and overall looked like a metallic birthday balloon on its last breath.
It would've looked so much better without the cape, or if it were another dress entirely.
Marion added tricolor Dior pumps to the outfit, and pulled her hair back to give us a good view of her face, which was gorgeous as always.
Thank goodness for that!

According to people who research these sorts of things, the color blue is associated with confidence and faithfulness, which may be why the art direction for the new Lady Dior ad is so heavy on the hue.
It's a subliminal tactic to get you to remain faithful to, and have confidence in, the Christian Dior brand!
Of course, we're sure Marion Cotillard's presence helps a little, too.
The actress looks quite strong and self-assured in the Tim Walker-lensed image, posing in a cobalt blue Dior Resort shift with the classic Lady Dior handbag hanging from her wrist.
A splatter of blue paint on the wall next to her reinforces the whole color theme they have going on.
It's not a bad ad, but there sure is a lot of empty space towards the left, which seems kind of pointless.
Anyway, get a closer look in the gallery (below)!

Somebody take scissors to this dress STAT!
It might seem that having your pick of Christian Dior dresses would automatically land you on the best-dressed list, but that is not always the case, as Marion Cotillard demonstrated at the Toronto International Film Festival on Monday.
At the premiere of Blood Ties, the French actress garnered eyeballs in a sheer lace Dior number that showed off her legs, and we would've loved it were it not for that distracting mullet hem!
It just looks so out of place and unnecessary! We can't conquer our urge to tear it off!
White cap-toe Dior pumps and a mismatched green bangle only served to make the whole ensem seem even more random.
But it wasn't totally hopeless — Marion looked gorgeous as always in the facial area!

Marion Cotillard proves she is the ultimate French beauty on the cover of Madame Figaro's pocket edition.
Her spread was shot by fashion photog Jan Welters, during which the 37-year-old was captured wearing minimal makeup and just enough hair product to get her luxurious mane to stand on end. Nothing too fancy!
The simplicity of the shoot was carried through in a somewhat bland color palette of black, white, and grey that really brings out Marion's piercing blue eyes.
It’s hard not to get lost in those twin pools of eyeball magic!!

Sporting a slicked back and curled under coif, the French actress made another long trek down the red carpet in a backless Christian Dior white gown with a structured bustier bodice and silver pumps.
Not only is this white dress a complete snooze, it didn't even fit Marion. Just look at how she had to scrunch up the long sleeves to show off her Chopard bracelets!
And all that gathered/scrunched up fabric at the waist wasn't doing her any favors either.
Maybe after Cannes Mademoiselle Cotillard should take a hiatus from Dior. She always seems to look much better in other designers anyway.
