A&E drama The Beast, starring Patrick Swayze, has been cancelled.

Although the network claims that no decision has been made, a new report from the very reputable industry publication Variety insists otherwise.

The series, about a rogue FBI cop in Chicago, got off to a rough start after Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Hopefully, Swayze will take the time to focus on his health!

Entertainment Tonight has obtained this picture of the ailing star and his wife, Lisa Niemi, enjoying their ranch in New Mexico last week.

There were rumors this morning that Patrick had died, but they were quickly proven false.

For those of you that heard the devastating news that Patrick Swayze is dead, which spread like wildfire on social networking sites earlier today, dry your eyes and turn off Dirty Dancing.

Because he ain't dead!

That's right, he's fine! Thank goodness!!!

A rep for the actor says, "This is to confirm that Patrick Swayze did not pass away this morning contrary to severely reckless reports stemming from a radio station in Jacksonville, Florida…Swayze is alive, well and is enjoying his life and he continues to respond to treatment."

See? All is right with the world again.

When it comes to a person's health, we should all be more careful about what we say or don't say!

The National Enquirer has new pictures of Patrick Swayze, taken within the past week, on the cover of their new issue.

The tab claims that the actor, battling pancreatic cancer, is down to just 105 lbs.

He's clearly skinny but he's got a fighting spirit. He's a dancer!

Let us all send Patrick some positive energy. Seriously. Take a moment now to send some good vibes his way!!!

Patrick Swayze wants you to know that he is doing well!

After spotting the cover of a tabloid claiming the actor is reaching "The End" of his struggle with stage IV pancreatic cancer, Swayze has taken the time to release a statement on the true condition of his health.

"It's amazing to me that the tabloids such as the National Enquirer print such negative stories about me and my health when there are so many positive things going on in my life right now. I've started a new chemotherapy and, one again, I am one of the lucky ones with pancreatic cancer that is responding well to the treatment," says Swayze.

Thank goodness!

The ailing actor also assures the public that he won't be leaving anytime soon. Swayze has started working on a new book as well as introducing a new friend into his life - Kumasai, a 12-week-old Rhodesian Ridegeback puppy!

Patrick does has a few words of wisdom for the tabloids and press, though.

"I hope in the future, the press will think twice about printing inaccuracies and painting an unpleasant picture when I have so much to be thankful for at this time."

Fair enough!

The life expectancy of most people is just 6 to 12 months after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Patrick's a fighter!

The National Enquirer apparently got its newest Patrick Swayze cancer treatment scoop all wrong, says his rep.

The mag claimed doctors told the actor there was nothing else they could do for him and that he decided to stop getting help.

Patrick is "continuing his treatment," counters a Swayze mouthpiece.

We're thinking of you, Patrick.

Patrick Swayze's mother, Patsy, is asking people to continue praying for her son and his struggle with stage IV pancreatic cancer.

Swayze, who's determined to remain optimistic and confident, may have hit a wall.

Today The Enquirer reported that Swayze has ceased treatment because there is nothing more that can be done.

This is also after hospitalization for pneumonia earlier this month.

A pal said, "His confidence had always been contagious for Lisa — but the situation is really staring them in the face now."
