Have The Time Of Your Life Watching These Dirty Dancing Kids Perform On America's Got Talent!

| Filed under: TV NewsPatrick SwayzeDance

Take note, Abigail Breslin — this is how you do Dirty Dancing!

America's Got Talent introduced audiences to Artyon and Paige this season, and the dancing duo melted hearts on Tuesday with their impressive rendition of Time of My Life!

The 8-year-old and 9-year-old dance prodigies wowed the judges with their moves, including a lift that gives Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey a run for their money!

If their routine wasn't cute enough, the duo have an adorable backstory. After meeting in dance class a year in a half ago, Artyon and Paige are now BFFs and have already decided to get married when they're older.

Paige has her heart set on a destination wedding — a Hawaiian beach or palace, maybe — which is naturally why they need to win AGT.

The heart knows what it wants — and so did the judges after the incredible performance! Ch-ch-check it out (above)!

Critics Didn't Have The Time Of Their Lives Watching ABC's Dirty Dancing Remake — See The Review Roundup!

Nobody puts baby in a corner!

But judging by the critics, ABC probably should have kept its Dirty Dancing remake off the floor!

Fans of the 1987 classic should exercise caution when watching the (rather unnecessary) TV remake that trades steamy dance sequences and sexy lip-syncing for tame, awkward dancing and bloated musical numbers.

Critics weren't dazzled by the lack of heat between leads Abigail Breslin and Colt Prattes — who have the chemistry of actual swans compared to Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze — and felt the production was (like Breslin's choreography) a bit all over the place.

If that's not bad enough, the TV adaptation wasted time beefing up side characters — like Baby's older sister Lucy (Sarah Hyland) randomly becoming a budding civil rights activist. Because 2017, duh!

Someone Dubbed Hillary Clinton & Donald Trump's Second Debate With Dirty Dancing Theme Song Time Of My Life — And It Is EVERYTHING!

hillary donald debate dubbed

With the presidential election right around the corner, it's safe to say that things have been tense lately.

However sometimes the internet rises to the occasion and makes troubling scenes happy ones. We are, of course, talking about how one person turned Sunday's ruthless and contentious debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton into a HIGHlarious duet.

AH-Mazing! In the video, first posted by Dutch Lucky TV, the Trumpster and the former Secretary of State's showdown is dubbed with the 1987 hit (I've Had) The Time of My Life. Yup, the same one from Dirty Dancing.

And tbh, it's edited pretty seamlessly together. The only thing we regret is that we didn't get to see the reality TV vet lift the longtime politician into the air à la Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.

Probably a good thing considering the hand placement…

Dirty Dancing Is Getting A Remake — Starring Chanel No. 5 Abigail Breslin!

Nobody puts Chanel No. 5 in the corner!

Fresh off of the success of NBC's The Wiz Live! and with Grease Live! airing in January on FOX — it looks like ABC wants in on the Primetime musical craze.

That's because it was announced on Tuesday that Abigail Breslin has been cast as Jennifer Grey's lead character in a 2016 remake of Dirty Dancing!

While Disney's adaptation won't be live like Peter Pan Live!, The Sound of Music Live!, and the others, it will still be interesting to see who the House of Mouse casts in Patrick Swayze's part alongside the Oscar-nominated actress…

We have to say, we're surprised by this casting. Abigail seems like an odd choice to star in her very own musical, especially after her — let's say questionable — performance in Scream Queens!

Luckily, Adam Anders and Peer Åström from Glee will be writing the music, so at least that aspect of the 3-hour show will be tight.

Make sure to catch Abigail Breslin & Co. when Dirty Dancing not-Live airs in 2016 on ABC!
