Everyone's favorite travel-chef is back in the news — and this time it's NOT for taking shots at Paula Deen!
World-class chef, author, host, and eccentric personality Anthony Bourdain is returning to TV with another new show!

Okay, before WE even learn why, we're going to guess that it had something to do with portion control, exercise, and NOT eating the stuff Paula Deen's been pushing on her viewers for years (the same stuff that gave her type 2 diabetes).
Let's see if we're right.
Here's what she said:
"I do think differently now. I'm more aware. It took me a couple of years to get to this point. If you make a few small changes, they can add up to big results."
She revealed that she's not going nuts on mashed potatoes anymore, and has swapped out giant sticks of butter for greek salads and baked fish.
It's resulted in a 30 pound weight loss.
You don't say!
We were pretty much right, however there was no mention of exercise.
We're glad you're healthier, Paula, but we think about all those people you continued on the path to diabetes with your show (even though you knew it was wrong and that you had it for years), and we can't get too happy for something you should've done all along.

Daaaamn Paula Deen, how you gonna turn your back on the thing that made you rich and famous like that??
That's COLD!
We guess you don't really need to associate yourself with butter anymore now that you've milked it for all the money you can and because you're done hiding your diabetes from your viewers, but you should probably respect those that got you where you are today!
Here's the ridiculous thing she said she wants to be synonymous with:
"When you hear the name Paula Deen. I want you to think of the word 'hope.'"
Not gonna happen.
People aren't just going to forget the lies and the lawsuits just to replace 'butter' with 'hope.'
Sorry!

Paula Deen was on the finale of Who Do You Think You Are?, a show about taking famous people and tracing their history and lineage.
What she found wasn't so palatable for her: some of her ancestors were slave owners.
She had no idea, and has been asserting for years that she never came from such horrible things:

Paula Deen must be ignoring her own cooking show, because she has lost around 30 pounds.
She has pretty much always been blasted for the unhealthy food she promotes on her show, and things only got worse when the public found out she has had diabetes for years and didn't tell anyone. Plus the only way we found out was she decided to be a rep for a diabetes medication that's paying her a ton of money, otherwise none would be the wiser.
Anyway, she has now revealed she's lost 30 pounds by, you guessed it, not eating like she has promoted for years.
Here's what she said:
"It's probably around 30 pounds. Small changes can add up to big results. I'm redoing the way my plate looks. I'm doubling up on salad or vegetables and putting smaller portions of carbs and all that. I try to walk thirty minutes a day. It is tough, let's be honest. Absolutely, and once in a while you can eat two biscuits - you just can't do it every day three times a day."
She should maybe be apologizing to fans if she's following her advice of being "honest."
Color us unswayed by her actions, but we're glad she's getting healthier.
We would never wish harm on anyone.
And we would CERTAINLY not push the food that gave us diabetes on our audience!

Throwin' shade goes both ways, Anthony Bourdain, but the hate mail you got was TOTALLY uncalled for!
Here's what Anthony had to say about it:
"A year ago, before she announced that she has diabetes, I dared to suggest that the food she was advocating was dangerous for you, and I received a lot of scary mail and Facebook posts. It was the first time I've ever been frightened."
Yeah right! You're telling us you weren't scared shizzless over ghosts or bears or the dark when you were a kid?? Ha!
He admits, however, that it was probably his own words that got him into trouble with the Deen Diehards:
"I don't know what my problem is, honestly. Why can't I just live and let live? It's a personal failing."
It was probably the way he said it that we disagree with most, because honestly, the message was correct: we do not condone what Paula Deen did as far as hiding her diabetes from her viewers while continuing to push the food that gave it to her in the first place. AND THEN to only come out to back a diabetes drug to make money off of it. It's greedy and unconscionable.
That being said, Anthony didn't have to be so ruthless in getting his point across!

Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain was recently on ABC's Good Morning America.
While there, he blasted Paula Deen yet again for continuing to cook fatty foods while hiding her diabetes.
He doesn't think she's necessarily a bad person, he thinks "there's a lot to admire about Paula Deen and her life."
But the fact that she is now the spokeswoman for the diabetes drug Victoza has him upset. He said:
"I find that in excruciatingly bad taste. It's unconscionable, cynical and greedy. Thirty million dollars a year. How much money do you need?"
It's good that he's speaking up because even though it's sad she has diabetes, she hasn't even owned up to the fact that her brand is based around "excess without guilt."
That means she could have led many of her fans down the same path as her and she's not even sorry about it.
Remember, it's okay to treat yourself once in a while, but if you never think about your health, it may slip away before you even notice.
