porcupinesss(1)

This is one of those obvious cases of look but don't touch!

A porcupine baby was officially weighed in at the Zoo Magdeburg in Germany, and it's a healthy 870 grams!

Although zookeepers have no idea what sex the porcupine is, it's most certainly a part of the adorable race!

Example: the porcupine quietly waited until the scary weighing in process finished before the shy little thang rushed back to its mama!

The point?

Shy porcupines are infinitely more amazing!

SO CUTE!!!

Zoo Welcomes Baby Porcupine Into Its Family!

porcupine(3)

Prickly has never been so cute!

A Prehensile-Tailed Porcupine was born at the Stone Zoo about a month ago, and it is one cute prick!

Obviously we can't be running off and petting this adorable little guy because well that's dangerous!

Porcupines have sharp needles on their body, which they use as a defense against predators.

It is effective, but not effective when we want to hug them!

Oh, well.

Guess these amazing pictures (below) will just have to do instead of the petting festival!

Check 'em out!

Poor gurl…

Bella is able to go home after a porcupine got the best of her during some family time at the pool.

The spiky attacker wants a drink to cool off from the scorching heat.

Bella and her doggies siblings got a bit too close and she was stuck with over 500 painful quills in face, fets, and mouth.

Check out the video (above) to hear more on poor Bella's bad day.

Do Only Humans Have Sex For Pleasure??

Humans have a lot of sex.

Some more than others.

Compared to other species, humans have sex for more than just reproduction and (sometimes) for more than just the sheer pleasure of it.

Science has long studied sex, and tried to figure out why it is so pleasurable. We can only assume if sex didn't feel good, then why would anyone do it?

So then, maybe all animals are having sex for pleasure?

One thing that many studies have looked at is the frequency of masturbation in different species.

A surprising amount of animals bop their bologna.

Masturbation has been seen in dogs, horses, birds, walruses, squirrels, sheep, turtles, bears, elephants and porcupines.

Gross.

What science has found, is that these animals extremely rarely ever "get off."

Researchers believe it's the human ability to "form mental representations of erotic material" that allows us to reach a climax so often.

When it comes to sex (with another, not just yourself) the rumors are true for the most part that dolphins and bonobo chimps are mainly the only other animals that have sex even when the female isn't in "heat."

So even though sex may seem relatively animalistic, it's actually one of the more human things you can do.

So get out there and be human! (Consensual humans, please.)
