Unlike other shows, the Screen Actors Guild doesn't need no fancy musical numbers or celebrity roast to kick off their show (sorry, Ricky Gervais!).
But what better way to kick off the night of actors honoring their peers with some "I'm an actor" introductions?
The intimate opening panned through the crowd of celebs, who each turned to the camera to introduce themselves to the audience!
Jeffery Tambor quipped about playing Maura Pfefferman in Transparent, and The Big Bang Theory's Kunal Nayyar talked about his first acting role — playing a terrorist!

The 54-year-old shared an article about how the former athlete was breaking her silence over his insensitive joke, and included a new burn in his post, writing:
It's about time Caitlyn Jenner spoke up!
Almost a week after Golden Globes 2016 host Ricky Gervais made a "transphobic" joke about Caitlyn, the reality star opened up about the incident in a rare Q&A with reporters. Jenner also addressed her second season of I Am Cait, a docu-series about her transition.
In response to R.G.'s burn, Cait responded:
"On Ricky, I think what I'm gonna do call the Golden Globes and see if they need a new host for next year. And we'll solve that problem."
Ha! We'd love to see the athlete hosting a major award show — the results would be very inneresting!
As for what the olympian hopes to accomplish with the next season of I Am Cait, the father revealed:
"I'm only a spokesman for me and my story. I have so much to learn in this community. I am sure we all love good clothes, all that kind of stuff. I really want the people to get to know all of my friends. This is a different show. This is about a serious issue."
We're glad C.J. is taking her status as a role model more seriously! A lot of people are counting on her!
So, what do YOU think of Caitlyn's response to Ricky?
We all know Ricky Gervais feels very passionately about bullfighting.
He's spoken out about the scandalized sport before, but now he's making personal attacks against one bullfighter in particular!
The matador, who is now 17, had killed 300 bulls by the age of 12 — slaying his first at only six years old — and the actor took to Twitter to share his utter disgust with a controversial NSFW comment, writing:
Ricky Gervais Defends 'Transphobic' Caitlyn Jenner Joke After Golden Globes Backlash — See What He Said HERE!
This doesn't really surprise us.
"I'm going to be nice tonight. I've changed. Not as much as Bruce Jenner, obviously… now Caitlyn Jenner. What a year she's had. She became a role model for trans people everywhere, showing great bravery in breaking down barriers and destroying stereotypes… She didn't do a lot for women drivers, but you can't have everything, can you?"
The comedian also made a joke about Jeffrey Tambor, as he plays a trans woman on Transparent, hiding his genitalia under a dress.
Well apparently Gervais has received quite a bit of backlash as people took offense to his jokes, calling them transphobic.
Even Transparent creator Jill Soloway responded to Ricky's jokes, telling Buzzfeed:
