Hmmmm, if they ARE a couple, then we wonder

We see NOTHING in this picture that would lead us to guess that Ricky Gervais would turn into the comedian he is today — in fact, the only thing we could guess from this pic is that he'd become a zoo keeper or Tarzan or something!
We kid, we kid! He's just a cutie little boy with his monkey friends!
Oh, and the pic was posted in honor of his birthday! So we better go ahead and get this over with: Happy birthday, Ricky! We hope it's amazeballz!!!
Also, do you still keep in touch with those monkeys?? PLEASE DON'T GIVE US BAD NEWS, we can't handle it!

Renowned reality producer Mark Burnett thinks he would be a solid gold choice!
After a controversial few years poking fun at celebrities as the host of the Golden Globes, the Extras creator has learned a thing or two about awards shows.
And as much as he would love to bring his comedy to the big show, he says he'll only do it under special conditions! He says:
Ricky Gervais is just a little cuddle muffin, isn't he??
He must get tired of being hilarious all the time and just wants to nap on occasion.
Luckily, this occasion involved his pretty pussy!
He tweeted a pic (above) and wrote:
Sorry, Office fans!
Ricky Gervais will reportedly not be making a guest appearance on the show’s series finale. He’s just too busy working on the upcoming Muppets movie!
This just adds to our anxiety over the show's nearing end — the hour-long final airs on May 16th — but at least we have Ricky's David Brent Comic Relief video to temporarily brighten things up.
The TIME 100 Gala, celebrating TIME’s 100 Most Influential People in the World, was host to a myriad of celebs last night.
The “influential” bunch arrived at the Lincoln Center donning some of their best
and worst dresses, strutting down the red carpet before heading inside.
Ch-ch-check out the photos (below) and see if you can pick out your favorite outfit of the night!

ZOMG! We can't believe it's been 10 years!!!
Back before a wonderfully incompetent Steve Carell made blundering middle management fun, Ricky Gervais was pioneering the whole faux documentary TV trend in Britain with his O.G. version of The Office!
And now, a decade after the show ended it's run, the darling doofus David Brent returns to us for to us for one final encore!!
Ch-ch-check out his charming and charitable Red Nose Day comedy special The Return of Brent (above)!
Ha! He was brilliant as an office manager, but we like him even more
managing mismanaging rappers, LOLz!!
