Ryan O'Neal Wishes Oprah Would Have Used 'Her Magic' On Him And Daughter Tatum

ryan oneal says he needs oprah magic

Maybe she'll whip out the REAL magic during season two!

Yesterday, we learned all about a new reality show on Oprah's OWN network entitled Ryan & Tatum: The O'Neals.

As a reminder, the show will explore the damaged relationship between Tatum O'Neal and her father Ryan O'Neal.

We were glad to hear they were making the effort, but we were skeptical about the fact that they feel the need to work out their problems on a reality show, and now it looks like Ryan is skeptical as well.

Here's what Ryan had to say about the show:

"I thought that was the thing – that Oprah would be there and use her magic on us. I thought she’d bless us and that would help. We spent New Year’s Even with her, and she was very encouraging. Then we never saw her again. And haven’t heard from her. When she finished her show, I supposed she’d come by and talk to us, but they said no, she’s going on holiday. So Tatum and I were left to deal with each other on our own."

"We’re OK, but I don’t know."

These things take time, Ryan. We agree, it would have been nice if Oprah were more hands-on during this process, but when it comes down to it, you've gotta be committed to repairing your relationship with your daughter because it's important to YOU.

Think about it!

What do U think? Will Ryan and Tatum fully repair their relationship? Will it make for a good reality show?

Can Tatum and Her Father Ryan O'Neal Rebuild?

| Filed under: Ryan O'NealReality TV

Maybe. At least, her father thinks there is hope.

Ryan O'Neal and his daughter, Tatum O'Neal's feud is nothing new. For years, the pair have spoken little to each other, falling out of touch shortly after Ryan became involved with Farah Fawcett after leaving her mother. Their relationship needs a lot of repair, which will coincidentally be explored in their new reality show, Ryan & Tatum: The O'Neals. But is there really hope to fix a 25 year feud? According to Ryan, there is at least hope. He explains:

A Reality Reunion No One Wants To See

With the advent of reality television, there really isn't any such thing as a real celebrity feud anymore. Honestly, it seems that if you are desperate enough for attention or money or closure or money, you'll just bring your troubles to any producer and say, "let's make it a reality show."

Such is the case for the O'Neal family. After 25 years of estrangement, Tatum O'Neal and her father, Ryan O'Neal have decided to reconcile…on camera.

The show is being pitched to networks right now, but we have to admit, we find this whole concept a bit unsettling. There are so many accusations of abuse surrounding their relationship. There were reports that he actually hit on her at the funeral of Farrah Fawcett.

Obviously, these deep have some dark issues, things we don't feel America really wants to know about.

Hopefully, no one will option it and we can all just forget this whole mess! (We're looking at you ,TLC! )

Farrah Fawcett's Friends Commemorate The Anniversary Of Her Death

Farrah Fawcett's closest friends and family members gathered together on the one year anniversary of her death and dedicated a cancer-research foundation in her name on Friday.

Alana Stewart, Ryan O'Neal, Tatum O'Neal, and Redmond O'Neal were among some of the guests in attendance.

The Farrah Fawcett Foundation, which Farrah had founded during her struggle with cancer, helps fund alternative cancer research and treatment methods and aims to improve the quality of life of those who are currently struggling with the disease.

Her best friend Alana Stewart said:

"If I can help carry on Farrah's mission for the foundation, it's an honor for me. I feel almost like she's a guardian angel watching over me, and I feel like she's smiling down on us and very happy that she died for a cause. She felt that she could help a lot of people and she could give a lot of people inspiration, courage and hope. That's why she did the documentary and that's why she started the foundation."

Farrah's son Redmond, who got a day pass from the sober living facility where he's undergoing court-ordered drug rehab to visit his mother's grave on the anniversary, was said to be extremely emotional. Father Ryan O'Neal said, "He lost her, and he's fragile."

So sad.

We hope Farrah's family can find peace in helping others who are fighting cancer.

According to the National Enquirer, a year after he lost the love of his life, Farrah Fawcett, actor Ryan O'Neal has found somebody else to love.

Source suggest that Ryan has been seeing former supermodel Cheryl Tiegs. The pair ironically met at Farrah's funeral, and since then, Cheryl has been helping him grieve.

The two supposedly made their relationship public last month, when they attended the Hollywood launch of Raquel Welch's latest book. An eyewitness noticed Ryan putting his arm around her waist and that they both looked very "happy" together.

It's nice that he found someone to spend time with.

She can do better.

Ryan O'Neal Gets No Support From The Other Men In Farrah's Life

This should tell you something buddy!

Ryan O'Neal is in the midst of making a sequel to the documentary he made with his lover Farrah Fawcett while she was alive. He has approached several major people in her life to be apart of the project and most of them have snubbed him completely!

Among those who have told Ryan to get lost are her 92-year-old father James, her former husband Lee Majors and even his son, Redmond O'Neal. Redmond is especially pissed off at his father as he is reportedly " fed up with the money-grubbing exploitation of his dead mother."

Can't argue with that! It's coming up on a year. Let the woman have some peace.

Regardless, we don't see the project folding without the trio, though it won't make for much of a documentary without them. Now, it will probably be an hour and a half of Ryan sobbing and gabbing about his beloved Farrah. Who the hell wants to see that?!

Ryan O’Neal Threatened To Kill A Producer?!

| Filed under: Legal MattersFarrah FawcettRyan O'Neal

Yikes!

No need to get yourself in your son's old cell, Ry!

Sources have learned that a producer is facing a lawsuit from Ryan O'Neal and Richard Francis on behalf of Farrah Fawcett’s estate for not relinquishing control of her documentary. The producer, Craig Nevius, filed court papers this morning, detailing an incident where Ryan threatened his life if he didn't hand the rights over! The papers say:

“In September 2008, Ryan O’Neal contacted Mr. Nevius and wrongfully demanded that Mr. Nevius relinquish control of SBR and the Film to a producer of his choosing. When Mr. Nevius refused, Mr. O’Neal threatened to kill him.”

The court papers go on to explain that this is not the first time that Ryan has gotten violent towards Craig. The filing reveals that in April of last year, Craig claims Richard insisted he stay away from Farrah under a threat of "physical violence" stating "… you better not appear at Farrah’s. Because you’re gonna get your ass kicked in by Ryan! And I mean it!’”

Violence isn't the answer! Plus, you don't need any more damage to your credibility, Ryan!
