The Sugababes talk about what a major biyatch Keisha Buchanan was!
The Sugababes talk about what a major biyatch Keisha Buchanan was!

This could get ugly!
Former and founding Sugababes member Keisha Buchanan is suing for the rights to the band name that she helped form back in 1998.
She's demanding that the current 3 remaining members of the band, Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen, call themselves something else or pay Keisha a large lump sum up which could be millions of pounds!
An insider reveals:
"This is a landmark case and will send shockwaves through the industry. The Sugababes are one of the most successful girl bands of all time, but if they are forced to change their name it would be absolutely disastrous for them."
Keisha left the band back in September citing "a breakdown in communication and lack of trust," but supposedly she was forced out by Heidi for constantly bullying Amelle.
The current Sugababes have consistently said in interviews that they are much happier without Keisha in the band — but they could be paying for it later!

Thoughts???

That's a good excuse! Never heard it before! Someone tell Mischa Barton to write that one down.
A member of the pop Brit band Sugababes, Amelle Berrabah, was admitted to a private health clinic yesterday, suffering "from a severe bout of nervous exhaustion". The stress of having a new girl has finally caught up with her!
No, really! That is the excuse they are giving on the group's website. The other two girls,Heidi Range and Jade Ewen, released this statement:
"It seems that with all the recent events in the band right up to Jade joining us a few weeks ago, the stress over a period of months has unfortunately taken its toll on Amelle and she is now suffering from a severe bout of nervous exhaustion.
For the next three weeks, Amelle will be staying at a private health clinic in Europe where she will be able to rest and recuperate under expert supervision.
Although we know this news all comes as a huge disappointment to Sugababes fans, we really do have to treat Amelle's welfare as our priority at times like this."
Amelle's "short break" will mean the group cancelling their first live performance together since the exit of Keisha Buchanan. This may also be the reason why the girls pulled out of headlining the Scottish Royal Variety Performance last week, though they originally stated it was due to "a number of legal issues to be finalised".
Well, we wish Amelle the best and hope this rest put her back to normal.
Girl bands are just such a stressful business! Much more so than those nonchalant boy bands! They have it so easy!

After some internal turmoil with the band, Keisha Buchanan is no longer a member of Sugababes and will pursue a solo career.
This is the announcement made on their official website:
The current line-up of the Sugababes has disbanded.
Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah will continue as the Sugababes and will be joined by new member Jade Ewen. They release their album ‘Sweet 7’ on November 23rd through Island Records.
Keisha Buchanan will continue to record for Island Records as a solo artist.
Then, Keisha took to her Twitter to explain the deets in her own words:
Dear Friends I'm sad to say that I am no longer apart of the Sugababes.
I've had a great time and have achieved more then I ever thought I would. Although it was not my choice to leave, it's time to enter a new chapter in my life. I have nothing but positive things to say about the girls and I wish them the best of luck. I would like to state that there were no arguments, bullying or anything of the sort that lead to this.
Sometimes a break down in communication and lack of trust can result in many different things. I would also like to point out that I have always supported the girls and they have also supported me. Remember my drunk pictures out with Amelle, supporting her on her success with Tinchy Stryder… Oh the shame… But what a fun night we had. Now I'm going to take some time to focus on me. I've been in this band for 11 years and I have achieved so much. I have a great family and friends who are behind me 100% and at the age of 24, I'm now going out into this world on my own…
Although im nervous… I'm still very excited on what lies ahead. :-) I want to thank the Sugababes fans and my fans for all your support and all who have never judged me, but excepted me for who I am… The feisty, funny, professional, fearless, motor mouth… lol
This is not the end… but the beginning!!!!
Thank you always… Keisha xxx
Well, she couldn't have pissed off the record company because they are still keeping her as a solo artist.
So what went down with her and the other girls to get her kicked out?!

Check out the new single from the Sugababes, About A Girl, above!
The song was produced by RedOne, the man behind Lady GaGa's biggest hits, Poker Face and Just Dance.
There's just one thing missing from the new Sugababes song - GaGa, of course!
About A Girl is good. But, like the new Cheryl Cole single, it's far from great.
Magic is hard to replicate and there's something about the Lady Miz G's chemistry with RedOne that makes their songs special.
This Sugababes single does not feel special!
What do U think????
P.S. We definitely prefer this song over Cheryl's - if we had to choose. We think About A Girl will be more of a grower with repeated listens.

The song's got an old school Jackson 5 vibe and the video has echoes of Kylie Minogue's vid for Slow.
