39-year-old Brady Green, who was found guilty of stalking Tyrannosaurus in a Manhattan court last month, has only been sentenced to one year of probation and two years of no-contact with the former supermodel!
That doesn't seem fair!
Prosecutors suggested that Green an "unhealthy obsession" with Banks, which involved sending roses to TyTy with a note reading, "When I see you, I love you," as well as calling the office of her talk show repeatedly and trying to slip past security numerous times to sit in the audience of The Tyra Banks Show.
America's Next Top Model producer, Ken Mok, is blaming the ECONOMY for firing judge Paulina Porizkova.
He says, "The current state of the economy has forced shows to make major budget cuts industry wide. America's Next Top Model is not immune to these financially challenging times. We've had to make significant cuts in every area of the production and, unfortunately, Paulina was a casualty of these cuts."
Allow us to translate: "Tyra Banks literally ate half the budget, and then her ego ate the rest."
TYRAnosaurous Banks offered this statement: "RAWR!"
Which Mok translates into: "Tyra, who pursued Paulina to eat her for dinner to join the show as a judge multiple times, was incredibly saddened by the decision the show was forced to make. We really enjoyed working with Paulina, and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors."
That ECONOMY should really consider some new PR and perhaps doing a little charity work to clean up its image.
First Janice Dickinson, then Twiggy, now Paulina Porizkova???
Tyrannosaurus Banks "Somebody" has relieved Porizkova of her America's Next Top Model judging duties!
Paulina spilled all the deets on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on Tuesday night!
"Listen, do you know why I am in Los Angeles?," the former supermodel turned Top Model judge asked Ferguson. "Because I am looking for a job… Because I was fired from America's Next Top Model on my birthday, they timed it well."
Was TyTy's mammoth-sized ego all the narcissism the show could handle???
"…The reason I was fired, just to be fair here, the reason I was told I was fired was because, it seemed that America's Next Top Model had gotten too fat and they needed to cut some fat and the fat was me," Porizkova claimed.
Translation: They needed to trim expenses.
Paulina is no dum-dum, though! She thinks Tyra "just felt [the show] didn't need [her]" and that after two cycles with ANTM, it was her time to go.
Tyra Banks was the most recent guest to visit The New York Times' TimesTalks series and Banks transformed from interviewee into Professor TyTy in a matter of moments!
After last year's infamous NYT video featuring Banks showing off just a few grins from her collection of 275 smiles went viral, the Tyrannosaurus couldn't resist giving a few gals in the audience a smiling lesson!!
OMG!
Tyra's crazy is like crack to us!!
Want to learn how to smile like the self-proclaimed smile pro?
Here's a start!
The Flirting-With-a-Man Smile: “Turn your shoulder to your man, move your face down, and use a sound effect, a little hmmmmmmmmm."
The Surprise Smile: "We’re not smiling like the surprise is real — it’s not ‘OMG, are you serious?'" It’s a hand to the cheek, and a gasp. Remember, the surprise isn’t like, swine flu or an unexpected breakup; it’s more of a "I forgot my contacts at home!"
The Catalogue Smile: "Put the left foot forward, and turn your head ahead as if there’s wind whipping you that way, and smile with your hand on your head and parted teeth. So walk forward with your hand on your right cheek, and step with your left foot, so your booty sticks out."
The Angry Smile: Save this one for "bitches." You move a hand to your hip, look forward, "dip that booty to the right," and let your face say "Okay, okay, okay, uh-huh."
The Tyrannosaurus' stalker, 39-year-old Brady Green has just been convicted of "harassment, criminal tresspass and attempted aggravated harassment" and could serve up to 90 days in jail!
A judge made that decision at a jury-less trial in NYC.
Green had been stalking the Top Model host since January 2008, following her across the country and showing up to numerous tapings of The Tyra Banks Show demanding to talk to Tyra!
Banks bravely testified against Green on Wednesday in Manhattan and informed the judge of her fear to even leave the house! "I didn't know what to do. How do I live my life when I leave this building? I had never experienced anything like this before," Ty Ty confessed.
Scary!
Green's sentencing is scheduled for June 18th and his lawyers plan to file an appeal.
According to reports, Tyrannosaurus testified today against Green in an attempt to persuade the court that the Georgia man is indeed a threat to her and those around her.
She told the court that:
"I fear my safety. I feel extremely vulnerable. I fear the safety of my staff. My family. The people in my vicinity. [My staff doesn't] tell me about fans. They said this person threatened one of my staffers. At that moment that was it. The first thing is there's this person who's more than a fan.
I was at work one day about to leave and a bunch of people on my staff said, 'No! You can't go.' [Green] got past security and you need to be here. Never in my career had staff reacted like this. I had to stay in my dressing room for a while."
So how has this affected Tyra?
She revealed:
"My life has changed significantly, even the people who know me. I don't live that sheltered life. I like to walk around my neighborhood. I run outside. I like to go to the movies by myself, eat meals by myself. My company hired security. When I'm at the movies, in a restaurant, they are there with me.
I can't jog outside anymore. I would go with a trainer or alone but with security present. The show made significant changes. They hired security. Plain clothes too. Budget is everything but they understood that was necessary. The extra [expenditures] were made."
Craziness!
So, did Green really pose that much of a threat to Tyra?
The court will hopefully decide soon, but if he's convicted he'll only face a maximum of 90 days in jail.
