Hedi Slimane sure loves himself some obscure musicians, doesn't he?

First it was Tom Burke of the Citizens!, then it was Beck, and now the creative director of Saint Laurent Paris has chosen singer Sky Ferreira as the face of his pre-fall lookbook.

When we think of all the big-name stars that would've jumped at the chance to star in a Saint Laurent campaign, Miz Ferreira is kind of a perplexing choice.

However, she was previously in a CK One campaign, so clearly the fashion crowd loves her, and we have to admit the 20-year-old can pose like a pro.

We don't think we could've ever seen this coming!

Sure, we're used to seeing musicians, actors, and other assorted celebs in advertisements for big-name brands, but we would've never made a connection between Beck and Saint Laurent.

Although, now that we think about it, creative director Hedi Slimane did tap Citizens! frontman Tom Burke to star in part one of the S/S 2013 campaign, so Beck as the second male musician face for the brand is not that weird.

Okay, it's still pretty weird.

However, we will admit that Beck looks pretty haute in the moody black and white shots styled and taken by Slimane himself.

And the brand's rock 'n' roll aesthetic of skinny ties, tailored blazers, and black fedoras suit him well.

Well played, Hedi.

Supermodel and activist Christy Turlington Burns is once again teaming up with Starbucks to raise money for her organization Every Mother Counts!

Starting next month, Starbucks stores across the US and Canada will be selling Every Mother Counts 2012, a compilation CD featuring some of the biggest names in the music biz and even some unheard tracks.

$8 of every CD sold will go to benefit maternal mortality reduction programs globally.

An amazing cause and great music? It doesn't get any better than that!
