Easter Chicks May Carry Salmonella
The New Mexico Department of Health has advised against parents buying baby chicks and ducklings to give as a gift to their children.
They have the risk of carrying Salmonella and 15 cases of Salmonella have been recorded in the past four years in New Mexico because of baby chicks.
Most of these cases were in young children.
