David Beckham Shows Off Chinese Lettering Tattoo!

david beckham shows off new tattoo(1)

We always knew that David Beckham was a fan of tattoos, so when we saw him showing off his ink that's written in Chinese lettering, we couldn't help but ooh and awe!

The iconic footballer did a meet and greet at Peking University in Beijing, China on Sunday as part as his China tour for his duties as ambassador for the Chinese Super League, and while he was onstage, he not only lifted his shirt so we could see his hawt bod, but he also displayed his torso tattoo.

Beckham's Chinese hanzi script translates to "Life and death are determined by fate, rank and riches decreed by Heaven."

DAYUM! Now that's some food for thought.

We can't help but wonder why David got this tat, but considering that he has rank and riches, we're assuming that he thinks he's one lucky man!

Ch-ch-check out Beckham's ink (above)!

China To Launch First Female Astronaut!

China Lady Astro

Yeah, China!

In a historic event for the Chinese, Liu Yang has been selected to join two male astronauts, Jing Haipeng and Liu Wang, as part of a three-person crew about to get their space on!

They'll be taking the Shenzhou-9 on a space docking mission.

And, Liu is crazy qualified for this, too. At 33, she was the deputy head of a flight unit of the PLA's Air Force and an air force major.

Plus, she is also a veteran pilot with 1,680 hours of flying experience and, after two years of training, excelled in testing before being selected as a candidate for the crew. So it's not like they were like, "Well, we need a woman, so you'll do."

Here's what a spokeswoman said:

"It will also further expand the social impact of human space missions and showcase the positive image of Chinese women. As a woman, I am eagerly looking forward to this flight with a female astronaut."

Hooray, women!

Congrats and good luck, Liu!

Let's hope they can pull it off — space docking is a tough maneuver!

It's been slowly getting more popular but this is really the first major debut for this tea.

They are promoting the drink with a Chinese spokesman, Chan McTi.
