Nicole Richie was spotted in New York recently.
She was doing some charitable work that also looked like a lot of fun!

We love to see celebs doing good for the world around them!
Julianne Hough and Kristen Bell were on hand in Hollywood on Tuesday to celebrate the launch of the DoSomething.org charity clothing drive, Teens For Jeans.
The jean drive runs from January 16th through February 12th and you don't need to be famous to get involved!
Since 1 out of every 3 homeless people in this country is a teenager, Aeropostale asked shelters "what would help homeless kids lead a normal life?"
The answer was simple: A pair of blue jeans!
Do the less fortunate a favor and dig through your closet for jeans you can donate at any Aeropostale clothing store!
Click here for more information on how to get involved and DoSomething that matters!

We love comedy and we love curing cancer! Who better to remind us to give a sh*t spit about cancer than two of the funniest guys on TV?
Chris Pratt and Aziz Ansari from Parks and Recreation are spreading the word for anyone over 18 to give a spit about cancer on behalf of DoSomething.Org.
The campaign is calling for possible donors to join the Be The Match registry and potentially save the life of a blood cancer patient. To participate, simply swab a few cheek cells from inside your mouth and mail it back to the registry to see if you're a match!
To find out more information about how to get involved or hold your own "Give a Spit" drive on your college campus, click here!

Yay! This is so amazing!
In an effort to help re-stock the New Orleans' Recovery School Disctrict, Better World Books and teen non-profit DoSomething.org joined together with rapper Ludacris to collect 250,000 books!
Even cooler is that 105,000 young people all over the country took part in the 8-weight Epic Book Drive by running book drives in their own communities to contribute to the cause.
Ludacris was proud to see so many young people pitching in to help out, saying:
“I'm proud to be a part of the Epic Book Drive and to see that over 100,000 young people participated. By collecting such a huge number of books for those in need, teens around the country showed they haven't forgotten about New Orleans and the Recovery School District.”
Check out the video above to find out how thousands of teenagers around the country were able to help out thousands of students in the school districts in New Orleans still recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.
