Earthquake Does Its Best To Disrupt Tennis Interview, Fails!

Filed under: TV NewsWacky, Tacky & TrueZportz

This is just more proof as to why we need Google Glasses — if you take video all the time, you won't miss something like this!

Luckily, even though they were only recording a short segment, the Tennis Channel actually captured an Earthquake on TV! It caused no damage, except it totally broke the concentration of Brett Haber. Hilariously, Tracy Austin, Neil Harman and USA TODAY Sports tennis writer Doug Robson were unfazed and kept talking.

Here's what Haber said about it:

"Since I live in California I knew pretty quickly it was an earthquake and as we were on a flimsy set with an overhang I was getting ready to move to clearer ground if it intensified."

And this is what Harman said:

"I thought it was a wind gust."

LOLz!

If you watch the video (above), you'll see that it's more how Neil Harman describes it than Haber!

When it comes to building houses for those in need, no one does it like former President Jimmy Carter!

So of course when Garth Brooks wanted to help others he decided to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity!

He joined the hundreds of volunteers who have built over 100 homes in the Port-au-Prince area, hardest hit by the big Haiti earthquake.

People just think that because it's out of the news, the problem is over, but many are still living without proper homes!

Arcade Fire Matching Donations To Haiti Charity For The Holidays

Arcade Fire Haiti Donations

If you're trying to think of a good gift this year, the Arcade Fire is recommending giving their money to Haiti!

The band, who won a Grammy last year for Album of the Year, is matching any donations to Kanpe, a charity dedicated to helping Haiti's most "vulnerable populations in their fight for a better future."

Frontman Win Butler announced the fundraiser on the band's website, writing:

"If you are having a hard time deciding what to get your friends and family for gifts this year, give them our money! For any donation you make to Kanpe this holiday season, the band will match it. We will also send a nifty little post card, signed by Regine and I, to put under the tree, or wherever you put your gifts (it’s not our business). For any silicone valley jerks who might try to bankrupt us, let’s put the upper limit at 300,000$… Have a great holiday!"

We're sure every little bit helps and what Arcade Fire fan wouldn't want a personal post card from their favorite band?

Olivia Wilde Directing Documentary About Haitian Little League Team

Olivia Wilde documentary

Olivia Wilde leapt into action after the earthquake that devastated Haiti in 2010 and was one of the first celebrity aid volunteers to arrive in the country.

The actress admits that her experience was so "amazing" that she's going back! This time, she's capturing it all on film.

Olivia is taking on a new role as the director of a documentary about a group of young survivors who are on a Little League team in Haiti.

Sounds like a terrific project that may border along the lines of a real-life Sandlot! Who doesn't love The Sandlot?

Good luck on the trip and the film, Olivia! Can't wait to see it!
