The 46-year-old confessed:

"I had a very long-term relationship with this abuser, which is a horrible thing to say… "I didn't even understand it was abuse, because I was too young to know. I endured it so many times, especially because I was alone a lot."

When she was 14, the San Francisco-native was raped by a second family friend.

"I was raped continuously through my teenage years, and I didn't know how to stop it. It was also an era where young girls were being sexualized… For me, I think I had been sexually abused so much in my life that it was hard for me to let go of anger, forgive or understand what happened."

What made it worse was that she could not seek solace in her high school classmates, who only used this as a way to bully her.

North Carolina Legislature Passes A Bill That Allows Denial Of Same-Sex Marriages Based On Religious Beliefs

Filed under: Gay Gay GayLegal MattersPolitikLGBT

North Carolina has passed a very disturbing bill that can affect same-sex marriage in the state.

Talk about taking taking two steps forward and 500 steps back.

North Carolina legislature has just passed a bill that allows officials to deny same-sex couples a marriage ceremony or even a marriage license if it interferes with their religious beliefs.

The bill now lands on Governor Pat McCrory's desk, where he will have 10 days to decide whether to veto it or pass it. If he does not come to a decision by then the bill will become law.

This would essentially allow court officials to opt out of performing a marriage ceremony for religious reasons.

This bill has been floating around ever since same-sex marriage was legalized in the state last October, but Governor McCrory has shot down it down in the past.

It seems that some conservatives are convinced that this is some sort of compromise and that they're REALLY protecting the officials who don't want to 'forced' to challenge their own beliefs.

It's unclear if the Governor is currently leaning in one direction or the other, but let's just say we hope he comes to his senses and shoots this thing down AGAIN!

Filed under: Gay Gay GayStuff 4 KidzLGBT

The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are finally getting their sh*t together!

It seems crazy that in 2015 there are STILL national organizations that are actually allowed to discriminate and exclude members based on their sexual orientation or gender!

But it looks like the Boy Scouts of America might FINALLY be getting their sh*t together!!

Last year, the Boy Scouts showed a bit of promise when they finally started allowing gay members to join as scouts! But that progress doesn't mean much when you realize they still have a ban on gay scout leaders!

Well, it sounds like that might change and SOON, as the group's president Robert Gates says there's NO way the ban will last! In fact, just last month the New York chapter announced they hired an openly gay scout leader as a summer camp leader!

While Robert says a change is gonna come, he also says
