As you may have heard, Beyonce has a new fragrance coming out soon. So like any other celebrity, she took time out of her busy schedule to shamelessly plug Heat Rush in an interview with Teen Vogue.
Here's what Bey had to say about all things smelly:
On her first fragrance memory:
"My first memory of fragrance was from my mother. I can still remember her scent and her stilettos and I still associate the two. She would put on her fragrance and then moments later I would hear her stilettos as she prepared to go out. She introduced me to fragrance."
On her new Heat Rush scent:
"Heat is a spicier scent and is bursting with the Red Vanilla Orchid. Heat Rush is fresher and lighter and the Yellow Tiger Orchid is the top note in the fragrance. I love them both for different reasons but they both feature my favorite flower, which is the orchid."
On how much perfume she wears for a big night:
"Enough to leave a lasting impression without being overbearing."
On which fragrance Sasha Fierce would wear:
"Sasha may love Heat more because she is as fiery as the fragrance."
Are U excited for Beyonce's follow up fragrance???
The UK's Advertising Standards Authority has banned Beyonce's Heat commercial from daytime TV after a whole 14 people complained it was "too sexually provocative" to be viewed by children.
Really, that's all it took?
The ASA explained:
"Although we considered that the ad was unlikely to be harmful to adults or older children, we considered that Beyonce’s body movements and the camera’s prolonged focus on shots of her dress slipping away created a sexually provocative ad that was unsuitable to be seen by young children."
Ridiculous!
From now on Beyonce's commercial will air after 7:30pm, when it's apparently OK to be sexy.
Not surprisingly, Beyonce's debut fragrance Heat has been flying off the shelves since February.
Macy's CEO Terry Lundgrenreveals that the department store has sold $3 million dollars of the fragrance in the past month.
But to show how much power Beyowulf really has, within the first hour of the launch, 72,000 bottles were sold!!!
Dayum!
Granted, the large amount of sales on the first day probably had something to do with her in store autograph signing, but still that's A LOT of perfume in a short amount of time!
Kanye West may not have been having the best week - between the gay rumors, his latest temper tantrum, and a bruised up Lamborghini - but we have a feeling that with this weekend, all of that's about to change!
The sometimes-volatile yet supremely talented rapper has been hard at work recording his new album in Paris, and apparently, has few very creative, larger than life tricks up his sleeve for how he's going to begin its promotional campaign!
Which, of course, started last night, when he projected a video of himself performing his brand new single, New Slaves, onto the sides of 66 BUILDINGS LOCATED ALL OVER THE WORLD!
Ch-ch-check out to what the folks of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, were treated on the corner of Bedford and N. 7 (above)!
