Back to the drawing board!

It looks like New Line Cinema needs to find another director for the big screen adaptation of Stephen King's It — because Cary Fukunaga has officially left the project!

According to reports, the True Detective director was butting heads with the studio during the development of his two-part adaptation of the horror classic centering around a demonizing clown who terrorizes a group of children.

The biggest reason for the Fukunaga's departure was New Line's recent budget cuts for the film, for which the director did not want to compromise his artistic vision.

Hi-ya, Georgie!

It's been reported that Will Poulter is in talks to play the horrifying clown known as Pennywise in the upcoming remake of Stephen King's horror classic It!

The We're the Millers star is a younger choice than the original for the role of the evil monster who lured in children disguised as a clown.

King's popular book was made into a TV miniseries in 1991, starring Tim Curry who made everyone afraid of clowns playing Pennywise.

A film adaptation was never developed due to the novel's size, but director Cary Fukunaga plans to split It into two feature films, while promising the new script will stay true to the original story.

After considering older actors, Fukunaga couldn't say no to Poulter after the 22-year-old blew the director away in his audition for the role!

We wonder if the actor blew up balloons for his audition? Either way, we're excited for one of the scariest movie villains of all time to appear on the big screen!

Mel Gibson Is Moving On From His Scandalous Past - Are You Moving On With Him?

It's hard to believe that the Mel Gibson arrest and anti-Semitic slur-a-thon was 8 years ago.

Now, after Gary Oldman defended him in a very poorly delivered section of an interview where he basically implied, just like an Avenue Q song, that everyone is a little bit racist, Mel has finally declared his FREEEEEEDOM from this scandalous part of his life, and mentioned in a recent interview that he's moved on, especially in light of Gary's remarks:

Stephen King's It Getting Remade!

We can't imagine anything will terrify us as much as the original miniseries, but you never know!

Stephen King's classic book, It, has already been adapted for the small screen, and now it's getting the film treatment!

Warner Brothers has commissioned screenwriter David Kajganich to adapt the story into one film, and he recently discussed his process of translating such a detailed, long book into a single movie:

He reveals:

"In all of my talks with the studio, it has only ever been discussed as a single feature film. The book's length is clearly more suited to a mini-series and I understand very well why they went that route the last time around, but I think the book's content is really more appropriate for cinema. I told the studio from the beginning that I felt I needed to be able to write for an R rating, since I wanted to be as candid as the novel about the terrible things the characters go through as kids. They agreed and off I went. I think the biggest difference is that we're working with about two-thirds the onscreen time they had for the miniseries. That sounds dire, I know, but it doesn't necessarily mean two-thirds the amount of story. I'm finding as many ways as I can to make certain scenes redundant by deepening and doubling others. To me, this is an interesting process because it has the effect of thematically intensifying the whole, but it can lead to dramatic surprises. Certain scenes I thought would be crucial to the coherence of the whole ended up cut, while other scenes, which were somewhat cursory in the book, ended up being pivotal in the script."

We wonder if he's all talk, or he'll actually be able to make it work!

Either way, that awful Pennywise the Clown will surely scare us shitless once again! That monster is FUCKED.

What do U think?? Are U interested in another It movie??
