After many Diamond Jubilee celebrations, Kate Middleton stashed away her fancy gear, and dressed down in casual royal gear to walk to her dog Lupo!

It's hard to tell, but this is indeed the Duchess of Cambridge sauntering through the lovely paths of the Kensington Gardens with her brother James Middleton and another dog in tow!

It seemed like it was a closely guarded secret for a while (though we can't imagine why) but now the cat (or dog) is out of the bag!

Prince William and Kate Middleton have named their precious pooch Lupo!

Why "Lupo" (Italian for 'wolf') you may be wondering?

A royal aide said:

"There is no significance in it apart from they liked the name."

The puppy was adopted from a close family friend of the Middletons.

A palace aid said:

"He belongs to a litter of cocker spaniels from one of Carole Middleton's friends near home.

William and Catherine fell in love with the pup instantly and it wasn't long before they decided to keep him."

Lupo the royal puppy. Such a CUTIE!!
