Chris Martin Has A Nice Low-Maintenence Jog In Los Angeles!

chris martin jogs in los angeles with friend

There's nothing like a nice, hassle-free workout, right guys??

That's why Chris Martin decided to ditch the gym and instead enjoyed nature with a relaxing, low-maintenence jog with a friend in Los Angeles!

Unlike his wifey Gwyneth Paltrow, he didn't have a care in the world before his workout! He didn't even demand any SmartWater for his run!

We're guessing after all of the chores his wife gives the gym, Chris decided to give the workers a bit of a break. That, or they had their gym membership revoked! LOLz!

Either way, keep up the good work, Chris!

Despite Bankruptcy, Octo-Mom Is Paying $500 A Year For Gym Membership

Octo-Mom gym membership

It looks like someone didn't pay attention in elementary school when they learned about the difference between a need and a want.

Octo-Mom filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on Monday, which is the most serious form of bankruptcy and basically means she is flat broke. The same day, however, she was seen strolling to the Total Woman Gym & Day Spa — a membership that costs her over $500 a year!

Listen, we understand the importance of working out, but not at the expense of your children's well being! Even with a monthly check for $2,000 from the the state of California, Nadya Suleman is about to lose the house that she and her 14 kids call home.

Exercise is essential for a healthy life, but there is no need to spend money you don't have on a fancy gym.

Go for a run outside, do push-ups in your living room or crunches on the floor. Whatever you do, don't spend your next mortgage payment on a gym membership!

Octo-Mom may not have a home next week, but at least her gym has a daycare center. They keep kids overnight, right?

Avoiding The 'Freshman 15' At College

freshman 15

We've all heard of the dreaded "Freshman 15", but college newcomers can take a sigh of relief because studies suggest it's usually closer to a freshman 7.

However, that doesn't mean you won't gain more than 7 pounds if you're not careful.

It's hard to pinpoint just one cause of the unfavorable phenomena, but a decrease in physical activity, a boost in alcohol consumption, and a change in eating habits from healthy foods to those high in sugar and fat probably have something to do with it.

With college just beginning, we're sure there are plenty of freshman already dreading what the scale will read by the end of the semester and we're sure there are just as many thinking "that will never happen to me!"

Bad news is, it can and probably will, but the good news is you can take easy steps prevent it! Continue reading below for tips on avoiding the Freshman 15!

Boo! Netflix Prices Going Up…A LOT!

netflix prices going up a lot

You are NOT impressing us lately, Netflix!

Last month, the National Association of the Deaf filed a lawsuit against the company for not providing closed captioning for most of their streaming movies.

We were thinking it was bullshiz that the hearing impaired couldn't enjoy the same features as everyone else, and now Netflix is pulling some more bullshiz by raising prices!

The company announced that they'll be raising the price for unlimited streaming/one-out-at-a-time unlimited DVD rentals by 60%! It'll go from $9.99 to $15.98 per month! WTF?!?!?

They'll now be offering plans for unlimited streaming only OR unlimited one-out-at-a-time DVDS only for $7.99/month each, but given the fact that people were previously able to get both for only $2 more, that seems really lame.

Here's what a Netflix exec had to say about the new price options:

"By offering our lowest prices ever, we hope to provide great value to our current and future DVDs by mail members."

And here's what Netflix's VP of Marketing Jessie Becker had to say about it:

"Creating an unlimited DVDs by mail plan (no streaming) at our lowest price ever, $7.99, does make sense and will ensure a long life for our DVDs by mail offering."

It's seriously uncool that they're trying to make it seem like this is a GOOD thing for subscribers. The streaming option is one of the best aspects of Netflix service, and we're thinking that LOTS of people will have to reassess the value of their memberships based on these changes.

What do U think about Netflix's price changes?

facebook valued at 50 billion dollars

We've gotta admit, this is pretty impressive given the fact that Facebook pages are completely free to create.

Facebook has raised $500 million from Goldman Sachs and Russian investor Digital Sky Technologies, in a deal which values Mark Zuckerberg's social networking site at $50 billion.

Congratulations, Facebook!

…Just don't start charging for membership. As long as U promise not to do that, we'll continue to be happy for you, bbs!
