You can add Michigan to the list of states we won't be visiting anytime soon.
Following Indiana and Arkansas' anti-gay laws that made headlines earlier in the year, we didn't think there would be any other states dumb enough to attempt passing more bigoted bills.
Well, we vastly underestimated how mean some politicians can be, because Gov. Rick Snyder of Michigan just signed a bill that allows adoption agencies to refuse to work with same-sex or unmarried couples if that happens to go against their religious views.
Because punishing people for trying to help a child definitely seems like the Christian thing to do.
Luckily, not everyone in the Great Lake State is as backward a person as good ole' Rick, because the ACLU has already stated they plan on finding a legal way to challenge the rule.
We just want to know how people who hate an entire demographic of their peers decide that being a leader is right for them?
Way to represent your state well, Rick!
