Players on the teams — which include the Oakland Athletics, Miami Marlins, Chicago Cubs, and many others — contend that the event is harmless fun designed to lightly haze rookies while promoting team bonding.

Athlete Ally, the LGBT group, sees it differently, and they are worried the cross-dressing players are sending the wrong message to kids.

Hudson Taylor, the head of the organization, said of the tradition:

Normally we don't condone any kind of harassment or humiliation, but something tells us these studs didn't mind!

The sexy athletes accessorized their banana hammocks with calf-high socks, beanies, and sneakers!

Of course, the Missouri-based sports team aren't the only ones who make their players don crazy get-ups. The L.A. Dodgers and the Minnesota Twins also make their beginners do so as well!

Baseball Fan At Red Sox Vs. Yankees Game Falls Over Railing & Onto Concrete!

We really hope everything turns out okay!

A fan at a Red Sox vs. Yankees game at Fenway Park in Boston on Wednesday is expected to be released from the hospital tonight after sustaining injuries from falling off of his lower box seat.

Apparently, during the 7th inning of the MLB game, a fan tried to catch a foul ball, but stretched too far over the railing and fell backwards onto the concrete below.

The man was taken away on a stretcher, but thankfully, both teams are saying that the baseball fan is expected to walk away with only minor injuries.

Unfortunately, on the other hand, accidents at sporting events seem to be on the rise, seeing as this fall comes just a week after a Braves fan fell to their death from the upper deck in Atlanta.

Stay safe, everyone!

The man, Gregory K. Murrey of Alpharetta, Georgia, was at the MLB game Saturday night sitting in the upper deck, when he stood up to cheer during play and apparently lost his balance and tumbled over the railing to the lower deck below.

Emergency crews immediately got to the scene, where he was given CPR and taken to the hospital, but was later pronounced dead. Homicide investigators arrived later, though they do not believe foul play to be involved.

The Atlanta Braves made a statement about the tragedy, with a spokesman saying to reporters:
