Cool Dad Flawlessly Catches Foul Ball At Baseball Game… While Carrying His Daughter & A Plate Of Food!

no title

This is beyond cute!

The Philadelphia Phillies had a tough day on Thursday, losing at home to the visiting Toronto Blue Jays 13-2, but while the MLB team wasn't showing out well on the field, one fan stole the show.

Brian Kucharik, a dad who brought his daughter to the game, is going viral right now after he caught a foul ball off the bat of the Blue Jays' Kevin Pillar… but it's how he did it that's catching everyone's eye!

Kucharik, sitting down the first base line, caught the ball one-handed — which is impressive enough considering how hard these balls get hit — but he also did it with his daughter Emily in his arms, AND while carrying a full plate of hot dogs and french fries!

Dayum, Brian!

Ch-ch-check out Brian doing his thing in real time and winding up with a nice souvenir (below)!!!

Fox Sports Reporter Gets Racist In Facebook Live Video, Says She 'Didn't Even Know Mexicans Were That Smart'

How could this sportscaster possibly think this was a good idea??

Emily Austen is — or, was — a sideline reporter for MLB and NBA games on local TV in Florida for Fox Sports Florida, but her life is now turned completely upside down.

The broadcaster who covered the Tampa Bay Rays and Orlando Magic will NOT be appearing on Fox Sports any more after a racist, anti-Semitic, and generally bigoted video came to light on Thursday evening.

Austen joined a Facebook Live video shoot with a group of guys from a website called Barstool Sports, and in doing so proceeded to say some incredibly awful things as the entire cast wrapped up yesterday's sports events on camera.

On the 35-minute long broadcast — which was deleted very quickly from Facebook Live, but pulled off in time and posted to Vimeo for the world to see — Austen utters SO many insensitive jokes.

This is so awful.

Vanderbilt University freshman baseball pitcher Donny Everett died in a drowning accident, just one day before his team's first tournament game on their campus in Nashville, Tenn.

The 19-year-old pitcher was at Normandy Lake in Coffee County on Thursday when, just before 5 p.m. local time, sheriff's deputies received a call of 'a subject that had gone underwater.'

Everett was apparently fishing on a bridge over the lake with two teammates and two other friends, when all five people jumped in to swim across to the east side of the bridge.

Everett began asking for help, but all four other people apparently thought he was joking, since he didn't seem to be in distress and didn't appear to be struggling to swim.

By the time they realized he actually needed help, it was too late, according to a report from the Coffee County Sheriff's Department (below):

San Diego Padres Baseball Team Accused Of Homophobia After National Anthem Mistake Involving The City's Gay Men's Chorus

no title

Drama down in San Diego — and it's getting icky.

The San Diego Gay Men's Chorus was all set to sing the National Anthem on Saturday night at the San Diego Padres' MLB game against the Los Angeles Dodgers, but things went very wrong very quickly — and now, here comes the fall out.

Related: So Happy That Colton Haynes Came Out!

The chorus, which brought one hundred singers to the game to sing the anthem, was trotted out into center field to perform — but something went wrong with the public address system at the team's home stadium, Petco Park.

At the start of their song, a recording of women singing the National Anthem was played over the loudspeaker, and it was never stopped.

The chorus then had to walk off the field after not being able to perform, and the group alleges they faced chants of "you sing like a girl" from the fans while leaving the stadium in shame.

Furthermore, the chorus alleges that the event almost didn't happen in the first place, as the Padres tried to make the entire group buy tickets to the game before they were able to perform.

NY Yankees Star Alex Rodriguez Retiring From Baseball To Be A Full-Time Dad!

no title

It's the end of the A-Rod era as Alex Rodriguez announced his retirement from the MLB on Wednesday.

The New York Yankees third baseman has been playing pro for two decades, much of that dominating the sport, with a career 3,070 hits and 2,055 RBIs.

But 2017, the final year of his $275 million 10-year contract, will also mark his last at bat. He told ESPN:

"I won't play after next year. I've really enjoyed my time. For me, it is time for me to go home and be dad."

Awww! Lucky kids!

Interesting note for his final season: with 687 career home runs, the 40-year-old needs only 28 to catch Babe Ruth as third all-time home run leader behind only Hank Aaron and Barry Bonds.

Good luck, A-Rod!
