It's official!

After a competition was set up to award a single car manufacturer with an exclusive, ten-year deal to supply New York City with 13,000 yellow cabs, Nissan has won, and will be the sole provider of the "Taxi of Tomorrow" - a NV200 commercial van!

According to city officials, the model - which has the potential to use an all-electric engine - beat out Turkish company Karsan and current producer Ford with its design, and is expected to debut in the fall of 2014.
