No one can deny that the recent New York Times profile on Lindsay Lohan during the much-discussed, controversial and tumultuous production of her new movie The Canyons, isn't an incredible piece of literary journalism that not only sheds light on the troubled starlet's life during those rare occasions she does not have a paparazzi camera in her face, but draws comparisons between she, director Paul Shrader and writer Bret Easton Ellis as once-prolific Hollywood talent now struggling to re-claim their past success!

However, it should be noted that while co-star James Deen was not always front and center in the article's focus - given the constant crazy surrounding the filming process - he's now speaking out about the entire experience making a movie that isn't porn, how accurate the Times story was, his relationship with LiLo…and if he'll attempt to break into pop culture mainstream!
