Well, this adds fuel to the fire of rumors that she decided enough was enough after his public intoxication arrest!
And the day AFTER Valentine's Day, no less! Brutal!
But yes, after the announcement yesterday that Diane Lane and Josh Brolin decided to end their marriage of eight years, reports have now surfaced that reveal that it was, in fact, the ACTRESS who filed the legal documents for divorce in El Lay Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences!"
Aww! Well, we knew that their relationship hasn't always been the smoothest of sails, but it does break our heart to think about them being so unhappy together that this is the only resort!
Especially since seven years ago, Diane had the following to say about her husband:
"I was fishing out of a different pond, proof that I'd grown up and was ready for a deeper experience. When I met Josh, I met someone I could parent with; it's hard to share that job and in some ways it's easier to do alone. But mothers need to be told, 'Do your best. You're doing a good job. I see you struggle. You're not alone.' …It's euphoria to be in my own life with people who are real."
So sad that in this case, she had to experience the not-so-fun side of someone's realness!
