The World's Deadliest Scorpion

And the award for world's deadliest scorpion goes to… the Indian Red Scorpion!!

This scorpion, even though it's smaller than a cigarette lighter, packs some serious venom.

It's sting is the most deadly out of any scorpion on earth.

What most don't know is, they only sting as a last resort, and only really pose a threat in an accidental situation, like a scorpion napping inside of your slippers.

Check out the above video to learn more about this misunderstood creature.

GREAT JOB TSA!!!!

Somehow a scorpion got past security and on to a plane to sing Alaska Airlines passenger Jeff Ellis.

He sat terrified 30,000 feet in the air staring at the wriggling scorpion that stung him on a flight to Alaska.

Jeff said:

"I felt it on my shirt-sleeve and brushed it off, I thought it was a little spider or something. Then I felt it back on my elbow. In the movies, scorpions kill people. I was just nervous, on edge, making sure that my heart was beating normal, that I wasn't sweating."

An Alaska Airlines spokeswoman said the scorpion probably crawled on board the plane during a stop in Austin, Texas. The plane then landed in Seattle, where Ellis boarded for a flight to Anchorage.

He said he is happy with the flight crew's response, and said the airline has offered him 4,000 frequent-flier miles and two round-trip tickets.

We think he deserves an annual salary. But it's whatever.

Man to open reptile zoo in his backyard

With a backyard measuring in at just 20 square feet, Rupert Langridge is using it to display his 100 and some animals to the general public.

The 26-year-old English man has over 70 snakes, 12 lizards, 2 scorpions, 2 birds, and a spider living in his home, but will soon be on display in his backyard after he is done constructing one of the worlds smallest zoos.

Talk about ambition!

He loves animals so much, he even shares his bedroom with a dozen hibernating snakes and says:

"My dream has been for many years to open my own zoo, have my own zoo, and I'm hopefully about to realize it. Really, it's because animals are my life. They always have been and all I want to do, really, is share my knowledge and my love for them with anyone who cares to listen."

Construction for his dream zoo is currently underway in his back garden and he hopes the zoo will be open to the public by the end of March.

Good luck, Rupert!

Half Spider, Half Scorpion Discovered

The Yosemite cave pseudoscorpion was discovered about three to four years ago, according to Texas Tech University.

A researcher there, James C. Cokendolpher recently documented the pseudoscorpion. It is only half an inch long and is not capable of doing much damage to anything larger than an eighth of an inch.

This little guy has the pincers of a scorpion but the body of a spider…interesting!

It is always cool to find out about new creatures!
