Researchers believe a 14 to 15 foot great white shark attacked and killed the California surfer who died this past weekend.

As previously reported, 39 year old Francisco Solorio, Jr. was killed when a shark bit through his surfboad and onto his torso.

Authorities have released the photo of the surfboard which how shark experts were able to guess how Solorio died.

A SoCal surfer has been killed by a shark bite while surfing at Surf Beach.

Francisco Solorio Jr. was bitten in the torso while surfing on the public beach off of Vandenberg Air Force Base, north of Santa Barbara.

Solorio's attack marks the second in two years at the same beach. The scariest part:
