James Franco Hires A HUGE Bodyguard As Sony Completely Cancels The Interview's Release Due To Terrorism Threats

James Franco is taking the SONY hacker threats VERY seriously.

It looks like James Franco is taking some extra safety precautions, and we can't really blame him.

For the past couple of weeks, a major hack on Sony has leaked tons of information on actor salaries and juicy executive emails, but things took a scary turn on Tuesday when the hackers promised 9/11-like attacks on ANY theater showing The Interview.

Well, it appears James is taking these threats VERY seriously as he was spotted leaving a restaurant in Manhattan on Tuesday night with a noticeably HUGE bodyguard.

This came shortly after the film's New York premiere was cancelled, and just today it was announced that Sony was axing the film's released completely since so many theaters were declining to show it.

The sight was a bit strange considering the 36-year-old is rarely seen with a bodyguard, and hopefully he wont need one for much longer.

The hackers released a message, promising a 9/11-like attack for any movie theater that screens The Interview, starring Seth Rogen and James Franco.

The comedy pokes fun at North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un, which is leading people to believe that the country is behind the hacks, although they've denied it, while still praising the hackers.

It's finally over.

In case you haven't heard, an undisclosed number of people were taken hostage in Sydney, Australia's Lindt Chocolat Cafe on Monday morning around 9:45 a.m.

Six hours into the siege, five hostages managed to escape. Hours later, the New South Wales police announced the end of the siege at 02:44 a.m. on Tuesday after tactical units stormed the building.

Sources have been reporting several injuries and possible deaths. Police have identified the gunman as Man Haron Monis, a 50-year-old Muslim cleric who was granted political asylum in Australia after fleeing his country in 1996.

Monis was reportedly shot and killed at the scene; others may also be dead but this has not yet been confirmed. Several have been injured.

Officials are saying Monis acted alone, and was not part of a larger terrorist plot.

Updates to follow.

Dias Kadyrbayev and Azamat Tazhayakov, students from Kazakhstan and college friends of the accused Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, were just indicted by a grand jury on charges of obstruction of justice today, according to the U.S. Attorney's office for Massachusetts.

The pair are being accused of removing Dzhokhar's backpack containing fireworks, and his laptop from his dorm room, after the FBI released pictures of Dzhokhar and his brother in order to discover their identities.

Dias and Azamat already potentially face 5 years in prison, having been previously charged with conspiracy, and if convicted of obstruction of justice for helping to hide evidence, they could serve an additional 20 years.

The two are currently in federal custody and await trial.

This news reminds us of that sad day in April, a tragedy that still is so fresh in our minds and hearts. So sad.
