14 Bomb-Sniffing Dogs Died On Way To Afghanistan

bomb-sniffin-dogs-killed.jpg

And they weren't killed in an attack.

A $1,000,000 lawsuit was filed over the death of 14 bomb-sniffing dogs who were on their way to Afghanistan.

The dogs died while housed in a truck at Animal Port Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport facility.

This is so sad.

A veterinarian had certified before the dogs left that Tiny, Rex, Rocky, Crock, Dork, Harrie, Stress, Sigo, Rex, Jaco, Kimbo, Kilo, Albert and Bak were all in good health.

The poor doggies weren't able to board a same day flight so they were going to be boarded overnight in the company's kennel.

But when the agents for the dog's owners visited the facility early the next morning they found the animals inside an unattended refrigerated box truck.

When the agents shook the animals' cages, they didn't move.

They found blood on the floor and evidence that at least two of the dogs had tried to escape.

Every single dog was dead.

Absolutely terrible.

We think $1,000,000 will never replace those dogs or undo the torturous deaths they went through, but it seems a good penalty to ensure something like this never happens again.

Pigs Escape Onto Highway After Crash

In China, several pigs escaped when the truck carrying them flipped on a highway.

Miraculously, none of the pigs or the driver were injured.

Some of the pigs were afraid so they stayed in the back of the truck, but several others ran out and began foraging and rolling in the mud on the side of the road.

Pretty much what you'd expect pigs to do.

Check out the above video to see police and the trucker's friends rounding up all the loose piggies.

Truck Crashes And Releases Millions Of Bees

Bees!

In southern Utah, an 18-wheeler overturned, releasing its cargo… millions of bees!!

25 million to be exact.

Officials closed down the road as the angry swarms of millions of bees flew around the interstate.

Even though the driver and passenger of the truck and several emergency responders on the scene were stung, no one was seriously injured.

Beekeepers were eventually brought in to help.

They took the boxes that housed the bee colonies and set them out. One beekeeper said:

"A lot of bees will go back in. After dark they don't fly, they just crawl around."

They are estimating about two-thirds of the 25 million bees were recovered.

The rest are going to stay around the same stretch of highway for a week or so before dispersing, so motorists on I-15 in southern Utah are being told to keep their windows shut.

Last thing you need while driving is a couple million bees flying into your car.
