Hit shows True Blood and 30 Rock were award winners at last night’s Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation Media Awards in New York last night, with the HBO series snagging Outstanding Drama Series, and the NBC comedy with Outstanding Individual Episode!
As most know, True Blood features numerous gay characters, like Nelsan Ellis‘ Lafayette and villainous vampire Russell Edgington, played by Denis O’Hare. Meanwhile, 30 Rock was honored for the specific episode Klaus & Greta, in which Tina Fey‘s Liz Lemon accidentally outs her cousin during a visit home, and ends up letting him live with her!
Excellent! So well-deserved!
Congrats, you guys!
