Well, first things first, they’re four awesome Australian dudes named, Luke Hemmings (17), Michael Clifford (18), Ashton Irwin (19), and Calum Hood (18), and they formed the band back in 2011!

The boys started out by doing covers on YouTube and that’s where Louis Tomlinson discovered them, took to Twitter to spread the music, then Niall Horan ALSO tweeted about them, and things only went up from there!

5SOS opened for 1D while on the Take Me Home tour where they gained even MORE of a following and now they’re opening for the boys AGAIN on the UK/European leg of the Where We Are tour!

When tickets were released for their 10 US tour dates, they sold out within MINUTES and their She Looks So Perfect EP went straight to #1 without ANYONE having heard any of the songs on it! Crazy!

They may be a boy band, but they’re a super skilled! The boys all play their own instruments! Cute and talented! We LOVE IT!
