A 91-year-old woman in Horn Lake, Mississippi never expected to be woken up in the middle of the night with a gun in her face.
But that’s exactly what happened to this brave great grandmother, who relied on her faith get her through the ordeal.
The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, described the terrifying situation, saying:
“He says, ‘Stay put. I’m not through with you.’ He said something about, ‘You know, I could shoot your brains out.’
I said, ‘You do know where you’d go. I’m going to a better place. I’m going to heaven. You’re going to hell.’
I said, ‘You’ve got to think about that. Would you want that to happen?’ He didn’t say a word. He turned around and he stared at the wall and then all at once, he turned on his heels, walked back out in that hallway.”
That is so incredibly scary!
The man eventually left her home, taking with him several hundred dollars in cash.
Her house was too dark to identify the man, who was dressed in all black. So the cops don’t have much to help them.

The woman, whose home is decorated in bible verses and religious pictures, relied on her faith to protect her, and it may have saved her life. She continued:
“I just knew I was fixing to die, but I said, ‘Oh God, please don’t. Take care of me.’ And I guess he heard me.”
We’re so glad her words made an impact on the burglar!
Sounds like someone was definitely watching out for her.
