Now, Kanye, we’re really happy for you and we’re going to let you rant on Twitter, but Miz Lady Gaga has made the best music videos of all time this year! Step down, sir, before you even stand up! (You know he is so not invited this year!)
The nominations for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards were just announced and our wifey made HISTORY by receiving more nominations in a single year than any other artist that has come before her.
GaGa has herself 13 nominations for her incredible work this year, including Bad Romance and Telephone, and she took time out to recognize how honored she feels and the people who’ve made her the star that she is. In a statement, she said:
“I’m so honored for all the little monsters and self-professed freaks of the universe, to have more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history. Ironically, I’m even more proud it’s an unlucky number: 13. A long time ago the world told me and my little monsters we would never be heard, together we changed the rules. God put me on Earth for three reasons: To make loud music, gay videos and cause a damn raucous. Thank you, MTV!”
We’re starting to tear up! This is just so amazing! We are swelling with pride!
Here’s to making the loudest, gayest, greatest damn raucous we have ever seen!
