Ricki Lake's Malibu House Burns Down!

But thankfully everyone’s OK!
Ricki Lake‘s Malibu rental home went up in flames Saturday morning after a couch was caught on fire. She was able to escape along with her two sons and their dog.
Lake told authorities that she was trying to refuel a portable heater when the couch caught fire. The flames quickly spread, destroying the rest of her home.
Her rep says that she “lost many personal items, but is grateful that everyone is okay.” She is currently staying with friends.
We’re not sure why she was handling fuel so close to her furniture, but we’re just glad she and her family got out safely.
