Meghan Markle still hasn’t gotten in touch with her father Thomas!
According to the Times UK on Monday, the Duchess of Sussex is still struggling to reach out to her estranged father, who is in a Philippine hospital recovering from an emergency leg amputation last week after a “life or death” health scare. An insider shared:
“There’s been progress, but she hasn’t made contact [yet]. It’s hoped and expected that there will be some form of communication in the next 24 hours.”
The actress has been calling up local hospitals in the area trying to hunt down her father, who was moved from the ICU to a regular ward in the hospital on Monday after his doc labeled his operation “a success.” That’s good news! He’s expected to stay in the Cebu hospital for the next week until moving to a rehab facility.

Once Meg locates him, her new plan is to have a letter delivered. So, she’s trying to be more personal than her initial attempt! Earlier this week, we learned she tried to get in touch via email — but Thomas claimed he didn’t receive any kind of outreach. Meg’s estranged sister Samantha called the reports “PR bulls**t.” Yeesh.
While Thomas claims he hasn’t changed his number since their estrangement began, Meghan reportedly lost his contact info, which is why she opted for email instead, though family members and close friends have insisted he doesn’t check his email, per Page Six. Even if he did, he supposedly doesn’t have access to his phone at the moment, per People intel, so it wouldn’t do much. We’ll see if the letter ever gets to him!
It’s hard to imagine why Meghan is having such a hard time locating her dad if he and so many family members and sources are speaking so freely about his health condition! Someone’s gotta give her a tip to find him, LOLz!
