The Next Big Franchise?!

Watch your back, Twilight! There’s a new franchise in town.
Summit Entertainment has optioned rights to Julie Cross‘ upcoming sci-fi novel Tempest, which centers around a 19-year-old time traveler who witnesses his girlfriend’s murder and inadvertently jumps back two years.
Since he is stuck there, he’s recruited to work for a CIA type agency run by the man he thought was his father and becomes obsessed with saving his girlfriend no matter the cost.
It has not been decided whether the movie will be based on the first book of the series or all three books.
