Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is being investigated for alleged behavior at Royal Ascot, according to new Sunday Times reporting!
As Perezcious readers know, the Thames Valley Police are looking into allegations of misconduct in public office against the 66-year-old, for which he was arrested earlier this year. But on Friday, they also announced their digging into allegations of sexual misconduct and urged anyone with information to come forward. Wow, right?!
Well, according to UK’s The Times on Saturday, police are now investigating a new incident from 2002! Apparently, the former Prince Andrew attended Royal Ascot that year with his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, during her Golden Jubilee year. He was photographed there with his daughter Princess Beatrice and King Charles III. At some point during the five-day horse racing event, he’s accused of behaving inappropriately towards a woman. Yikes!

Further details are unclear, and the Thames Valley Police has not addressed the allegations in a formal statement, but the outlet has learned they are looking into the claims amid a bigger investigation. At this time, it’s unknown if this was reported to police at the time or more recently.
According to the outlet, investigators are going through a list of key witnesses, such as former cabinet ministers, royal officials, and senior civil servants, to obtain evidence from his time as a trade envoy for the UK. It’s also believed detectives were given access to Scotland Yard’s files on the late Virginia Giuffre, who accused Andrew of sexually assaulting her beginning when she was a teenager.
Simply put, it sounds like there’s a lot more to come on this front! Thoughts?! Tell us (below)!
