Jimmy Kimmel is holding Spencer Pratt to his word!
After a splashy campaign for Mayor of Los Angeles, The Hills star’s bid for office came to a halt this week after his main opponents secured more votes in the primary than he did, kicking him off the ballot for the runoff election in the fall. Spencer came in third place behind Karen Bass, who secured first place, and Nithya Raman, who came in second.
Throughout his campaign, Spencer said he was so sure about El Lay going south if he lost that he actually promised to leave the city if he was defeated in the election. And now Jimmy Kimmel is reminding him of that!

During Tuesday’s monologue on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host blasted all the Republican politicians now claiming the California election was “rigged” due to this result, adding:
“He clearly promised that if Karen Bass or Nithya Raman were elected mayor, he’s going to move out of LA. He said he was done with L.A., and Spencer, if you’re watching, we are so, so sorry to see you go.”
The comedian teased:
“We do know we’re going to miss the hell out of you. You’re a man of your word, and you’ve got to go. You said you were going to go, and I know things might be tight right now, especially out-of-state donation money is running out.”
Acknowledging the financial struggles with moving, the 58-year-old continued:
“Moving is expensive, so, to help you out, we rented you a U-Haul. It has plenty of room. It’s got two beds, tables, chairs, all your crystals, whatever you want. Our staff spent the whole day decorating for you.”
Ouch…
The moving truck was decorated with a poster that read “Just Defeated,” a sad-faced pic of Spencer, and ribbons and balloons. Oof…

Jimmy went on to wish Spencer and his wife Heidi Montag well, “wherever it is that [they] go,” suggesting:
“Maybe you could be mayor there, or maybe just run for mayor and finish in third place there. It could be fun for your new reality show season 2. Either way, mazel tov and goodbye, Spencer Pratt. Let us know if you want [the U-Haul]. We’ll drop it off right in front of the Bel-Air hotel.”

Maybe if Donald Trump really does offer Spencer a job, then he will move. Time will tell.
