Taylor Swift has not forgiven Kim Kardashian — regardless of what that Kylie Jenner hug looked like!
The pop star had a surprisingly positive run-in with Kylie at Game 4 of the NBA Finals earlier this week, going out of her way to say hello to the model. They embraced in a quick hug, and both seemed excited to see the other. It was super sweet! Take a look:

Naturally, the interaction sparked a flurry of excitement online. Taylor has feuded with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West since 2016, and while the SKIMS founder has spoken highly of her this year, it’s still shocking to see the songwriter cozying up to someone in the family! So, what was that hug all about!?

Sources told Rob Shuter‘s Naughty But Nice Substack on Friday that this wasn’t the sign of a ceasefire — it was simply Taylor being the bigger woman:
“Taylor wasn’t going to ignore Kylie in front of thousands of people. She hugged her, smiled, and kept moving. That’s who Taylor is. She takes the high road.”
But it should not be taken as forgiveness, a source insisted:
“A hug is not forgiveness, and it’s definitely not friendship. What Kim Kardashian and Kanye West did to Taylor is something she’ll never completely forget.”
How could she? That was a brutal time in her life. You don’t move past that easily! But the performer is doing her best to carry on, a source said:
“Taylor has made peace with the past because she refuses to live in it. But she also doesn’t rewrite history. The scars are still there.”
Another insider doubled down on the notion that this was nothing more than a “polite” gesture:
“Taylor was polite. That’s very different from being close. Kylie shouldn’t confuse good manners with a wedding invitation.”
What? No room at Madison Square Garden? LOLz!
At least the feud is settled enough that Taylor could have such a positive run-in with a KarJenner. It’s not something that would’ve happened even a few years ago! But being able to move past that animosity is so freeing. And it’s not like Kylie was directly part of the feud anyway.
