The bungee jumper who died in Brazil after workers allegedly forgot to attach the rope made a now-haunting social media post just minutes before her death.

21-year-old Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas shared a message to the followers of her Instagram Stories. According to multiple outlets, the young woman posted a timestamp of a clock showing 7:31 as she stood on the São Paulo bridge.

In the caption of the photo of the Skeleton Bridge that’s in the city of Limeira, she asked in Portuguese:

“Who was the crazy person who let me jump off a bridge???”

Wow.

So chilling knowing what would happen just minutes later… Heartbreaking.

As we previously reported, Maria signed up for what was supposed to be an adrenaline-filled adventure at the Ponte do Esqueleto. In the video that’s been going viral on social media, workers at the bungee jumping company can be seen seemingly throwing the student off the bridge, only to moments later realize they allegedly forgot to attach her safety rope.

She plummeted 131 feet to the ground, and after first responders came, she was pronounced dead at the scene. We just can’t imagine.

Our heart goes out to Maria’s loved ones. May she rest in peace.
