Well, would you look at that. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are slowly but surely getting everything they want!
It’s no secret. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex never completely wanted to walk away from the royal family. But as mounting social pressures rose, Harry was forced to put his wife’s mental health first and move to the US when Queen Elizabeth II refused to allow them to take part in a half in, half out approach to royal life. They’ve since blasted the monarchy, attempted to build their own success in Hollywood, and have even gotten embroiled in many legal fights involving the royals, including demanding security protections.

Despite all this, Harry is finally set to bring Meghan and their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, back to his home country next month as he returns for Invictus Games events. And in a shocking twist, King Charles III has reportedly offered them royal housing during their stay! OMG! It’s a huge shift in the rocky relationship!
And now insiders believe this signals how the couple is finally getting what they wanted all along! A palace source told British-American journalist Rob Shuter‘s Naughty But Nice Substack on Monday:
“This is essentially the arrangement Harry and Meghan proposed years ago. The difference is that Queen Elizabeth said no.”
But now, they’ve once again gained access to royal status and family support — while living a more private life. Another insider shared:
“They’re not working royals. But they’re receiving many of the benefits that come with being working royals.”
His Majesty is reportedly the one leading the reconciliation efforts, a source dished:
“Charles is a father before he is a king when it comes to Harry. He wants peace, he wants unity, and he wants a relationship with his grandchildren.”
We’re sure his cancer battle made him realize how precious time like this is!
And, frankly, if it weren’t for Charles making an effort to reunite, we doubt others in the royal household would be going out of their way to welcome the Spare author back into the fold, an insider pointed out:
“Charles wants reconciliation. William wants accountability. For now, the King is getting his way — but everyone knows the future belongs to William.”
And it’s this exact reason that Harry and Meghan better savor the opportunities they get to enjoy royal life again because once William’s in charge, we doubt he’ll be as generous!
