Tom Cruise Is Digger! See How His Career Leads Up To This Transformative Role In The Retrospective Trailer: ‘Everything You’ve Done Has Come To This’

Tom Cruise has had a LONG career in Hollywood… And his latest role looks like it’s shaping up to be his crown jewel.

On Tuesday, Warner Bros. dropped the trailer for the 63-year-old’s new movie Digger — where it looks like the movie star certainly digs deep! The 3-minute preview starts off with a retrospective stroll through Tom’s lengthy career in film, showcasing clips from his most famous roles in movies like Top Gun, Risky Business, Jerry Maguire, Tropic Thunder, and more. The retrospective concludes with a quote from Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning:

“Everything you are. Everything you’ve done, has come to this.”

That’s quite the promise!

The trailer then cuts to footage of Digger, where Tom undergoes a MAJOR transformation into Digger Rockwell. So what is it about? Per the plot synopsis, “the most powerful man in the world embarks on a frantic mission to prove he is humanity’s savior before the disaster he’s unleashed destroys everything.” Watch (below):

Per early reports, Tom plays a disheveled, corrupt oil tycoon in the Alejandro G. Iñárritu-directed film, who accidentally unleashes a world-threatening event. Could this end up being his Oscar-winning role?!
