Here’s What Matty Healy Was Doing While Ex Taylor Swift Was Getting Married To Travis Kelce!

While the world has been watching for new details in Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s fairytale wedding, not EVERYONE has centered their long weekend around it… Particularly not her most recent ex!

On Friday, the pop superstar and the three-time Super Bowl winner tied the knot in a mesmerizing wedding ceremony at Madison Square Garden. The 1,000-guest event, which saw truckload after truckload of supplies being carted in for the extravagant design in the days leading up to it, has had EVERYONE talking. So what does the ex of one of the most famous women in the world do the weekend she gets married? He dives deeper into his current romance!

Prior to striking up a relationship with her now-husband Travis Kelce, Taylor famously dated The 1975 frontman Matty Healy in 2023 after breaking up with her boyfriend of six years Joe Alwyn. They didn’t last long, though, and thank goodness, because Tay Tay has now found her happily ever after! Matty also moved on with model Gabbriette Bechtel, whom he proposed to in 2024.

Innerestingly, Gabbriette held her bachelorette party the SAME weekend Taylor did… But during actual Tayvis’ wedding weekend, Matty and Gabbriette kept things more low-key.

In photos floating around the web, the engaged pair can be seen stepping out together the same day Taylor said “I do.” On Friday, Matty and Gabbriette were seen walking hand-in-hand in jeans and casual shirts in LA — pretty much as far away from NYC as they could get! HA!

Innerestingly, the Blank Space singer’s other recent ex Joe was also notably seen with his own love interest Sarah Pidgeon, whom he was packing on the PDA with in a London park just a few days before the wedding.

In Taylor’s 2025 Eras Tour documentary The End of an Era documentary, she opened up about going through breakups with Joe and Matty while on tour:

“There were points in this tour where the tour was really the only thing keeping me going in my life. I went through two breakups on the first half of this tour. That’s a lot of breakups, actually. This show is what gave me purpose and what I could use to get me out of bed. The tour has never been the hard thing in my life. The tour has been the thing that allowed me to find purpose outside of the s**t that was going on in my life. Men will let you down, the Eras Tour never will.”

We’re so glad she’s with a man who is SO in her corner now!
