Kelly Clarkson is still a single woman… And her reason why is VERY pointed!
During a Studio Sessions show for her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace on Friday, the Since U Been Gone singer got candid while talking about her love life. And she did NOT hold back! Revealing why she chooses to remain single, the 44-year-old dished:
“People are like, ‘Oh, why are you single?’ And I’m like, ‘First of all, there are a lot of people out here making single look real good.’”

The shade! Ha! Kelly went on to make it crystal clear what she meant:
“And if you didn’t really understand what I meant by that, it’s like you see relationships and you’re like, ‘I am so glad I’m going home alone.’”
Yikes! LOLz! The Stronger singer didn’t offer any hints as to whom she’s specifically thinking of — or if there were really even any couples in particular — but she told her fans she’s perfectly happy being at home:
“You know what’s not happening in my house? That s**t.”
Good for her!
As we know, Kelly and her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock separated in 2020 before officially finalizing their divorce in 2022. Three years later, Brandon tragically died of melanoma at just 48 years old. Together, the exes share daughter River Rose, 12, and son Remington Alexander, 10.
During her Friday show, the mom-of-two went on to talk about how “monotonous” it can feel to keep things exciting in a relationship:
“If you are in a relationship, the hardest part I feel like is just keeping that fire alive and still dating. And, like, still making it feel magical and not monotonous.”
Last summer, the American Idol winner revealed dating is off the table, noting what a “dumpster fire” it can be in the spotlight.
