Taylor Frankie Paul is stepping away from Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
After waves of controversy stemming from the leak of a 2023 video showing her involved in a domestic violence incident with then-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, in which children were present, TFP is washing her wands of the show she helped create.
While her presence in Season 5 of the Hulu series was minimal due to her scandal, production for Season 6 began in July, and she had recently been invited to come back. This had upset co-star Mikayla Matthews, who last week announced via social media she was quitting. She explained her decision to followers, writing:
“The ONLY reason I’m leaving the show is because I was told a certain person was coming back. I told them before agreeing to do 6 that I wasn’t going to film if that certain someone came back. Because it’s UNETHICAL and kids are involved.”
Castmates Mayci Neeley and Layla Taylor also made it known they were unsure if they would continue after Season 6.
Now, on Monday, Taylor Frankie Paul has decided she’s gonna be the one to quit.
In a post to her followers on Instagram, the 32-year-old MomTok influencer extended “gratitude” to “all the networks that supported me throughout this and gave me the chance to return.” But given all the drama surrounding it, she says she has no “desire to move forward like this.”

She also clarifies that she was originally “willing to be removed to let them all continue on with less stress” and now she’s found herself feeling once again that it’s the best choice for her moving forward.
Explaining further, she claims she’s experienced bullying from her castmates and that those on the crew and production team have been the only ones supporting her through everything. She wrote:
“Some of the girls know what I’ve been through and then to turn and collectively pile on with their “statements” knowing there has been ongoing abuse through the system the last 8 months on top of what I’ve endured. Almost the entire cast plus some, going at me….laughing about my kids is disgusting. And I bit my tongue there. These same people had meetings telling me I need to lead the way of pay….my voice was the only one that can make it happen and then they would work from what I demanded. I’m grateful I never followed through with their requests of demands and I’m grateful I kept same pay out of fairness and integrity. I treated production and crew with respect always, in fact they are ones who checked on me throughout this. I agree it’s to the point of bullying for months now. What makes it harder to take in is some of these parents have made mistakes that would result in the same judgement I’m receiving yet pointing a finger. However it’s a pleasure to remove myself so they can continue, because I’ve almost convinced myself I’m deserving of all this pain and to a certain degree absolutely this is consequences of my actions. My question has been how much suffering and scrutiny is going to be enough…I’m just relieved to be out.”

Her post also comes after a recent report from TMZ last week that claimed she had recently failed multiple drug tests in her ongoing custody battles with ex-husband Tate Paul and ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, resulting in shortened parenting time with her children.
