Two photographers just got called out for their “reckless” practices, and rightfully so.
Per a new report from People magazine, an international photographer hired by a European press agency and another paparazzo were seen lurking the perimeter of a school in England — the same school Prince Harry and Meghan Markle enrolled their children in.
Absolutely not okay.
Not only were they seen walking around the school carrying backpacks (likely holding equipment), they are said to have stopped at certain points to look in on the grounds of the campus. As if that wasn’t creepy enough, they eventually returned to a white rental van. This was all witnessed by both school staff and the couple’s private security.
In a statement given to the outlet, their rep says:
“The decision by photographers to conduct themselves in this way around a school is extraordinarily reckless.”
And even that might be an understatement.
They continue, noting a difference between “legitimate media activity” and whatever bulls**t this was:
“There is a world of difference between legitimate media activity and photographers walking the perimeter of a school, stopping to look into the grounds and monitoring children as they go about their day.”
It’s one thing when celebrity parents bring their kids to a red carpet event and explicitly approve photography in a limited capacity at a media event. It’s a whole other situation to go lurk at a school. Even photographing celebrity kids while on private walks with their parents or at parks is not okay.

Calling out the photographers’ lack of proper judgment, they condemn the “unacceptable intrusion into the privacy of children,” saying:
“It is concerning enough that certain European paparazzi appear unwilling to respect the privacy of children at school. But to behave in this manner in these particular circumstances, and so soon after the incident at RAF Fairford, demonstrates an extraordinary lack of judgment. Whatever photographs they may have been seeking, this was not only an unacceptable intrusion into the privacy of children; it was an irresponsible and ill-considered way to conduct themselves in the vicinity of a school.”
As we previously reported earlier this month, Meghan and Harry were forced to change their kids’ school after only two days due to security concerns.
Hopefully there are no more incidents like this going forward.
